  • Patent number: 12360501
Abstract: Embodiments provide functionality to control real-world mechanical systems through the creation and deployment of machine learning models. An embodiment creates the machine learning model by extracting (i) an indication of efficiency and (ii) values of operational characteristics of one or more devices from one or more characteristic curves. Each characteristic curve corresponds to a respective device of one or more devices, in a mechanical system, functioning at a given speed. A training data set is created by determining efficiency and values of the operational characteristics for the mechanical system functioning with multiple combinations of the one or more devices operating at each of a plurality of speeds using the extracted indication of efficiency and extracted values of the operational characteristics. In turn, the machine learning model is trained with the created training dataset. Training configures the machine learning model to predict efficiency of the mechanical system based on operating data.

  • Publication number: 20140188579
Abstract: Transportation services may provide nationwide tolling interoperability. Multi-agency electronic tolling transponders each compatible with multiple tolling agencies are provided to clients. The multi-agency transponders are linked to respective accounts associated with the clients. Transponder tolling data for respective clients is obtained from the multiple tolling agencies. Payments may be sent to each agency corresponding to the clients' respective transponder tolling data and the clients may be billed based upon the transponder tolling data.

  • Patent number: 8550750
Abstract: A method is provided for stimulating anaerobic degradation of a subsurface contaminant, comprising the steps of vaporizing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to form a treating gas and directing the treating gas to at least one subsurface injection site that includes the subsurface contaminant; wherein the treating gas stimulates anaerobic degradation of at least a portion of the subsurface contaminant.

  • Patent number: 8277660
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a method and apparatus for the treatment of water containing silica in order to recover as much treated water from a water source as possible while minimizing the generation of waste products. Other embodiments include removing specific elements from the water source and utilizing those elements. Embodiments of the method and apparatus uses in-line physical and physio-chemical treatment methods to remove potential biological, colloidal and hardness foulants continually so that there is minimal loss of water from the water source stream and minimal addition of chemicals to accomplish removal or reduction of these potential recovery-limiting foulants.
