    Abstract: The present invention relates to a separating cyclone for at least partially separating a mixture of fluids of different density into a light fraction with a relatively low density and a heavy fraction with a relatively high density, comprising a flow body in a flow space wherein one or more bypass channels are provided in the distal part of the flow body, via which channels a part of the mixture flowing along the flow body can be guided. The invention also relates to a method for separating the above stated mixtures.
