Abstract: A holder for holding cords and tubes extending from medical apparatus that are attached to an IV stand. The holder has a base rotatably mounted to the IV stand. An arm is supported by the base and extends away from the base such that the arm holds the cords and the tubes extending from the medical apparatus.
Abstract: The present invention is a combination of a flexible arm with a collet assembly. The assembly includes an elongated flexible arm or tube with a collet at one end and a releasable mounting assembly integral with the opposed end. The collet is arranged to grippingly receive and retain a tubular work item therein, such as a flashlight, magnifying glass or lense, clamping retainer, or the like, with the work device having a circular cross-section and in the form of a tube, sleeve, cylindrical shaft, or the like. The releasable retaining mechanism includes a prong and socket assembly, with the prong portion being preferably integral with the flexible arm, and with the socket portion being adapted to releasably retain the prong and accordingly the flexible arm and collet assembly. The collet is provided with an outer external ring which slidingly engages with the internal gripping fingers, thereby simplifying the attachment to the working device.
Abstract: The present invention is a collet assembly with a sliding lock. The assembly includes a segmented tubular body with the segments being increasing in size from one end of the body to the other. The two smallest segments form a plug for securing the collet assembly to a first object. The two larger segments form a collet which receives a second object. The collet has a tapered cross-sectional area, with the area decreasing from the end of the collet assembly towards the middle of the collet assembly. The collet includes longitudinal slots that extend from the end towards the middle of the collet assembly. The collet may include a sleeve in its bore. Like the collet, the sleeve has a plurality of longitudinal slots. The collet assembly also includes a slidable tubular collet lock having a passageway for receiving said collet therethrough.
