Abstract: The invention concerns payment for transmission and/or service operations within a data packet transmission network (4) (improvement in payment token technology). According to the invention, between the source unit (S) and the destination unit (D), at least one node is used as a cache node (NC) and also behaves like a debit node. It includes a debit gateway (PD) modifying the payment token assigned to each data packet received, so as to reduce the initial value of the payment token, by an amount representing the cost of the at least one cache operation carried out, for the packet received, by the cache node. A manager of said at least one cache node receives from the toll center, for each packet received during the session, the financial settlement of the representative amount and restores it to a manager of said at least one replaced unit or node, or allows a manager of said at least one replaced unit or node to receive the financial settlement directly.
Abstract: In a method in which a proxy is installed in a mobile telephone, this proxy has the role of simulating a service server to make a client application of the telephone believe that communication has truly been set up with a service server and thus obtain local processing, in the client apparatus, of the maximum number of the requests sent by the client application. Another role of this proxy is to engage in dialog with a network controller server. The network controller server substitutes itself for the client application for the polling and communicates with the proxy for the management of the requests sent by the client application.
Abstract: A user produces (301) a vocal and/or video message on an apparatus provided with means for the recording of such a message. This message is packaged (302) in a multimedia configuration message. This configuration message also comprises an identifier of a user. This configuration message is sent (303) to a greeting message server that uses the identifier and the greeting message of the configuration message to update (307) a database of the server.
