  • Patent number: 8033024
Abstract: A pipe cutter according to the invention has an inner head part which, in the working position, rotates about a pipe which is clamped in the inner head part and is to be processed. Integrated in the inner head part are a spring-mounted cutting wheel head (8) having a cutting wheel (7) for cutting the pipe and a plurality of support rollers (9) in spring-mounted receptacles (10). The arrangement and formation of cutting wheel (7) and support rollers (9) is such that the clamped pipe is at right angles to the cutting wheel (7), and a right-angled cut is thus achieved. Moreover, a defined feed cutting force can be set by the spring mounting of cutting wheel head (8) and support roller receptacles. During cutting, the pressure on the pipe decreases with increasing cutting depth, and the pipe can thus be cut cleanly and without burrs.

  • Patent number: 6213695
Abstract: An automatic spindle arresting device for hand tools, especially for drills, drill screwdrivers, angle grinders and the like, with a latching part (50; 120), which is connected to the spindle (20) or the housing (10) so that there cannot be any mutual rotation, and which can be coupled in both direction of rotation of the spindle (20) with at least one arresting part (40; 140), which is connected with the housing (10) or the spindle (20) so that there cannot be any mutual rotation, and with a driving part (34; 110), which is disposed equiaxially to the spindle (20) and has unlocking elements, by means of which the latching part (50; 120) and the arresting part (40; 140) can be uncoupled, is characterized in that the unlocking elements are one or more control paths (38; 116), which are disposed at the driving part (34; 110) and at which one or more control cams (54; 124) of the latching part (50; 120) slide due to a rotational motion of the driving part (34; 110) in such a manner, that the latching part (50; 1

  • Patent number: 5644845
Abstract: In order to improve a device for the pivotable fastening of a saw base (8) to the housing (1) of a jig saw, with a fastening part (10) which is placed on the saw base (8), with a second fastening part (20) which is placed on the housing (1) of the sabre saw and which matches with the first fastening part (10), and with a connecting means (23) for the detachable connecting of the first with the second fastening part (10, 20) in such a way that an easy, quick pivoting of the saw base (8) is made possible without an additional tool and which in addition ensures a secure retention of the saw base (8) to the housing (1) of the jig saw, it is suggested that the first fastening part (10) exhibit a semi-cylindrically shaped, outwardly toothed surface (13), that the second fastening part (20) exhibit a surface which is configured in a complementary manner to the first fastening part (10) and which is in essence semi-cylindrically shaped and is inwardly toothed, and that the connecting means (23) be a screw (23) which

  • Patent number: 5644846
Abstract: In order to improve a reciprocating stroke drive mechanism for sabre saws, with a slide (5), with a saw blade (2) which is fastened in a detachable manner to the slide (5), with a slide carrier (7) which forms a slide guide and which is supported in a rotatable manner, a connecting link (9) which is driven in an eccentric manner by a shaft (11) of a motor for the creating of the up and down movement of the slide (5), and with a reciprocating stroke arrangement in such a way that operation of the reciprocating stroke drive mechanism that is as reliable as possible is attained with as few moving parts as possible, it is suggested that the reciprocating stroke drive mechanism include the following: A balancing mass (13) which can be moved up and down vertically with the slide (5) and a pivoting fork (19) which is mounted in a rotatable manner underneath the balancing mass (13) and the first lever arm (18) of which lies against the saw blade (2), and on the second lever arm (20) of which there is configured a sli

  • Patent number: 5156221
Abstract: An electrical hand-held device, such as a screwdriver or the like, includes an output shaft, a drive motor for driving the same, an actuating coupling for connecting the output shaft with the drive motor, a distance sensor for sensing a coupling position, and a speed controller which, in response to a signal generated by the distance sensor, controls operation of the drive motor. The controller causes the drive motor to accelerate to a high speed and maintain this speed during the screwing process when a rearward pressure is applied to the output shaft and the coupling is in its clutching position.
