Abstract: A hybrid power supply architecture including a microcontroller, a linear regulator, a first current sensing unit, a second current sensing unit, a switching regulator, a PWM controller and a hybrid output stage is disclosed. The linear and switching regulators respectively perform linear and switching regulation according to a first enable signal and a second enable signal generated by the microcontroller to generate a linear output power and a switching output power. The first and second current sensing units respectively generate a first current sensing signal and a second current sensing signal by sensing the linear and switching output powers. The microcontroller receives the first and second current sensing signals to determine a loading state. The switching regulator is enabled to actuate in case of heavy loading, and particularly the linear regulator is shut off only when the switching output power is stable, thereby implementing the best conversion efficiency.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for generating a multi-protocol fault management (FM) packet by using a field-programmable gate array, including: setting information related to FM in a plurality of local maintenance entity group end points (LMEPs); performing a polling process of the plurality of LMEPs according to the packet types after obtaining send instructions related to a certain packet type; determining a protocol type of the plurality of LMEPs; obtaining information related to the protocol type; acquiring information related to the packet type under the protocol type; generating a corresponding number of FM packets in accordance with the information related to the protocol type and the at least one set of field information related to the packet types; and outputting the FM packets. The method enables transmission of CCM, LCK and AIS packets under ETH, ITU and IETF packets to be achieved. Therefore, compatibility and competitiveness of products are improved.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for stream testing by a switching hub including the steps of generation a test data stream by the switching hub and testing a plurality of DUTs by using the test data stream. A first port of the switching hub transmits port minoring to a second port of the switching hub. A packet is transmitted through a physical cable from the first port. The first port and the second port are added to a first virtual local area (VLAN) in a native manner. The second port receives a test packet in a self-loop mode. The test data stream is created by repeatedly transmitting the test packet from the second port. In addition, the present invention further provides a system for stream testing by a switching hub.

Abstract: A rack structure for mounting a server in a server system with a slide channel and a retention groove, includes: a rack formed with one engagement element slidable non-removably within the channel; and a rotary rod having a first end connected pivotally to the rack via a pivot pin and a second end provided with a slide stick extending slidably into the groove. The rotary rod is rotatable about the pivot pin relative to the rack between a locking position, where the rotary rod is generally aligned with the rack while the slide stick engages a first end of the groove so as to retain the rack non-movably in the channel, and an unlocked position, where the rotary rod extends generally transverse to the rack while the slide stick engages a second end of the groove to permit sliding action of the rack within the channel.

Abstract: The present invention provides an operations, administration and maintenance (OAM) security authentication method and OAM packet transmitting/receiving devices. An OAM packet is authenticated by utilizing a random number and an authentication code. A threshold for the number of failed authentication is determined If the number of failed authentication is greater than the threshold, the random number will be updated. According to the present invention, OAM packets constructed by malicious users or tampered with may be detected to increase security of OAM packets and avoid a denial-of-service (DOS) attack.

Abstract: A fixing system for fixing a PCI card includes: a module having a substrate including carrier portion, a pivot portion and a securing portion; and a press rod having a pivot section connected pivotally to the pivot portion of the substrate, an extension section and a securing section; wherein, the press rod is pivotable relative to the module between a locked position, in which the securing section of the press rod engages the securing portion of the substrate such that the extension section thereof compresses so as to fix the PCI card on the carrier portion of the substrate and an open position, in which the press rod is rotatable about a common axis defined by the pivot section and the pivot portion, thereby permitting the press rod to rotate away from the substrate.

Abstract: A heat dissipating device disposed on a heat source and in a flow channel is disclosed. The heat dissipating device includes a first fin set, a second fin set, and a baffle. The first fin set is disposed at an entrance of the flow channel, and the second fin set is disposed at an exit of the flow channel. The baffle is disposed between the first fin set and the second fin set, and divides the flow channel into a first flow channel and a second flow channel. The sectional area of the entrance of the first flow channel is larger than that of the exit of the first flow channel. The sectional area of the entrance of the second flow channel is smaller than that of the exit of the second flow channel.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-BIOS circuit and a BIOS switching method accomplished through the circuit. The multi-BIOS circuit comprises at least two BIOS chips, a SPI Select chip is disposed between the BIOS chips and a Southbridge chip, the BIOS chips are connected to the SPI Select chip pins, and the SPI Select chip is connected to the Southbridge chip pins. The present invention can significantly enhance the safety of computers, and increases the stability as well as the convenience in use and operation.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a data communication system for storage management, the system comprises a storage management apparatus, an expander enclosure SCSI enclosure services (SES), the expander enclosure SES is connected to the storage management apparatus through a communication line, and a mainboard baseboard management controller (BMC), the mainboard BMC is connected to the expander enclosure SES through a communication medium, wherein each of the expander enclosure SES and the mainboard BMC has a instruction converting module.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a lock and the application thereof. The lock is applied on a base having an inner surface and an outer surface. The lock comprises a locking plate and a motion module. The motion module has a curved surface facing the locking plate. The curved surface has a first surface and a second surface. A main feature of the present invention is that the lock has a close status and a far status. The locking plate contacts with the first surface and has a first distance from the base in the close status, and contacts with the second surface of the base and has a second distance, which is greater than the first distance, from the base in the far status. The invention has the advantages of low cost and simplicity, and solves the long lasting problem of the prior arts.
