Patent number: 10830677Abstract: A filtration device is disclosed for filtering debris from a biofluid sample. In at least one embodiment, the filtration device provides a collection container having a collection chamber defined by a flexible wall, a mouth fluidly communicating with the collection chamber and formed through the collection container at a top end, and a filter device defining a bottom of the collection chamber. A quantitative container has a quantitative chamber in fluid communication with the filter device with the filter device separating the collection chamber from the quantitative chamber. A biofluid sample is introduced into the collection chamber through the mouth, and when the mouth with a collection chamber cap, the flexible wall of the collection container is squeezed to reduce the volume of the collection chamber and force the biofluid sample through the filter device, the filtered biofluid sample thereafter being contained within the quantitative chamber.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2019Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: CellectGen, Inc.Inventors: Robert Gellibolian, Adam Markaryan

Patent number: 9816087Abstract: The present specification discloses filtration devices for processing a biofluid sample, methods of purifying a biofluid sample using the disclosed filtration devices, and systems comprising components of the filtration devices. The filtration device generally includes a collection container, a quantitative container, a filter, and a plunger slidably inserted through a plunger attachment. In a first configuration, the quantitative container is axially slidably inserted within the collection chamber, with fluid communication between the quantitative chamber and the collection chamber provided through the filter. In a second configuration, the filter and the collection container are separated from the quantitative container, the plunger attachment is fitted to the quantitative chamber open end with at least a portion of the plunger positioned within the quantitative chamber.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2014Date of Patent: November 14, 2017Assignee: CellectGen, Inc.Inventors: Robert Gellibolian, John Stump, Adam Markaryan
