Abstract: An injection device 100 comprises a housing 102 which is adapted to receive a fluid container 120. The housing 102 is also adapted to hold the fluid container 120 stationary relative to the housing 102 during use of the device 100. The injection device 100 also comprises a discharge nozzle 128 which is movable between a first retracted position in which the discharge nozzle 128 is contained within the housing 102 and a first extended position in which the discharge nozzle 128 has moved relative to the fluid container 120 and extends from the housing 102 through an exit aperture 138 of the housing 102. The fluid container 120 and discharge nozzle 128 are in fluid communication with each other in the first extended position. Extension of the discharge nozzle and expulsion of a predetermined and fixed quantity of fluid can be achieved in a single continuous action.
