Patents Assigned to Celwave
  • Patent number: 5469181
Abstract: The invention provides a broadband directional antenna having a central reflector plate, a dipole and at least one side reflector panel. The dipole is arranged on the central reflector plate for radiating a radio frequency signal, including a binary feed network having a microstrip transmission line and a colinear array of radiating elements. The side reflector panel is hinged to the central reflector plate for adjusting the horizontal radiation beamwidth of the radio frequency signal.

  • Patent number: 4933652
Abstract: A coaxial resonance cavity of either the fingered or unfingered variety having a metal heat conducting barbell shaped structure inside the movable tuning plunger to conduct heat from the inner surface of the movable plunger to the inner surface of the fixed stub or directly to the shield to provide for a heat conductive path to the shield to carry heat away from the inner plunger. The barbell is an integral structure machined from stock aluminum, but resembles three right circular cylinders butting end to circular end. The upper cylinder has a diameter appropriate to maintain tight contact with the stub. The lower cylinder has a smaller diameter, appropriate to maintain contact with the movable plunger.

  • Patent number: 4827273
Abstract: Antenna mounting structure to mount an elongated communications antenna to a fender. A signal carrying cable is routed from a radio to an opening in the vehicle body. A cable retaining collar slips over the cable and is held in place by an insulating mounting nut. An exposed conductor is then coupled to an antenna base by a metal lock nut that slips over a spherical antenna base. As the lock nut is tightened, the orientation of the antenna is fixed.

  • Patent number: 4810984
Abstract: A dielectric resonance electromagnetic filter for selection of a resonance frequency of a high frequency electromagnetic wave having the dielectric resonator attached directly to the shield. The filter is tunable using a tuning cylinder which moves through a cavity in the center of the resonator. The tuning cylinder is hollow and is designed to expand thermally during heatup to counter thermal changes in the resonance frequency. The tuning cylinder may be metal or dielectric material or may have sections of both materials.A shield geometry has been described which enables filter clusters to occupy a minimum volume.

  • Patent number: 4694301
Abstract: A flat antenna particularly suited for mounting to a briefcase as part of a cellular telephone. The antenna has a radiator conductor and ground-plane conductor spaced from each other and mounted at right angles on an insulating support, preferably cardboard. The cardboard also serves as a mounting structure for a cable having two conductors, one soldered to the ground-plane conductor and a second soldered to the radiator. The flat structure is mounted in a panel of a carrying case and the cable is routed to a suitable transceiver.
