    Abstract: A light emitting diode display panel is provided for forming an electroluminescent panel. Light emitting diodes which are disposed in an array are driven directly by flip-flops forming a memory in accordance with high speed CMOS technology. The diodes are connected directly to the outputs of these memory devices and the current which flows through the diodes is determined by the supply voltage of the memories. The direct connection from the high speed CMOS memory devices to the LEDs eliminates the need for buffers to drive the LEDs.
