Abstract: The present document describes a process and a bioreactor for reducing a bisphenol compound content of a wastewater using a membrane bioreactor containing a biomass in a volatile suspended solid (VSS) form where the biomass in the membrane bioreactor is operating continuously to reduce bisphenol compound content when the bisphenol compound volumetric load is below 108 g m?3 d?1.

Abstract: A system and method for handling wicket bags involve a wicket bag holder for transporting wicket bags to a working position along a transport path, the bag holder including one or more holding devices each being operable between an open position allowing receipt of an upper tab of the wicket bag and a closed position whereby the bag is held suspended within a working zone. Also involved are one or more main gripping devices each being operable between an open position allowing receipt of a suspended wicket bag and a closed position whereby the bag is gripped to form a bag neck portion. The system and method may be used for bag filling applications.

Abstract: A method for assembling output data generated by at least one sensor unit having a local clock and linked to a data communication network with corresponding data representing sensed location on an article moving at a known speed or position/time profile along a travel path intersecting a sensing field associated with the sensor unit, makes use of reference time data that is compared with local time data generated by the local clock when the reference time data is received, causing a local clock update. Then, the sensor output data is assembled with the corresponding sensed location data according to an associated updated time data.

Abstract: Preparation of new polyols from mixtures of dicarboxylic acids comprising glutaric acid, succinic acid and adipic acid and polyhydric alcohols, such as mixtures of acids which are derived from treated residues resulting from the industrial production of adipic acid. Preparation of new polyurethanes from these polyols by reacting the latter with polyisocyanates. Obtaining products possessing advantageous properties and interesting market for treated residues resulting from the industrial production of adipic acid.

Abstract: An instrument for laparoscopic tubal cauterization includes: a grip member, a probe element attached to the grip member and a pair of electrodes carried by the probe element in such spaced relationship to one another as to avoid electrical short therebetween, the electrodes defining at one extremity a pair of tube-grasping portions. Means are provided on the grip member for electrically connecting the electrodes to an external power source and for allowing a current discharge between the tube-grasping portions of the electrodes whereby the tube grasped is cauterized.
