  • Patent number: 11959953
Abstract: A device is suitable for revealing spatial variations in polarization of an electromagnetic radiation, in a form of localized temperature variations. The device includes a surface of a carrier which is electrically and thermally insulating, and includes an array of patterns which each consist of at least one rectilinear segment of a sensitive material, of which the orientation is variable within each pattern or between neighboring patterns. Such device may be used with a thermal camera to reveal, in infrared images, temperature variations which are localized at segments not perpendicular to a local direction of linear polarization of the radiation.

  • Patent number: 10826444
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing a stage for amplifying the power of a variable envelope signal including at least one amplifier. For each amplifier, a form of ideal variation in average power POUTL is selected. For each value of each setting parameter and for each average input power value, a value of an optimisation criterion is calculated on the basis of the mathematical expectation of at least one optimisation parameter. An optimum value of each setting parameter is determined and the amplification stage is produced with a number of amplifiers in parallel determined on the basis of an average output power value and with, for each amplifier, matching circuits providing the optimum values of the setting parameters. The invention also relates to an amplification stage produced in this manner.

  • Patent number: 9654325
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of receiving digital data transmitted on a coded serial digital transmission modulated on a noisy channel with non-stationary equalization attenuation. Digital data are stored associating a value of quality of transmission with the information elements received, and a mutual information value Ik is computed for each value of the quality of transmission. The value of quality of transmission consists of an equivalent signal/noise plus interference ratio calculated as a function of the method of equalization on the basis of various signal/channel noise ratio values measured for the various temporal symbols of information elements received of the signal received corresponding to one and the same information element and according to interference due to the waveform.

  • Patent number: 9484956
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for correcting a message the generation of which involves transforming an initial message and inserting bit stuffing into the transformed message, which method comprises providing an observation sequence containing the message to be corrected. A number of path hypotheses are generated via a trellis diagram associated with the transformation. The nodes of the trellis diagram each represent a state of a finite-state machine capable of transforming the initial message and the branches represent the possible transitions between nodes. Among the branches of the trellis diagram, certain represent conditional transitions that may be made only when bit stuffing is present. During the generation of a path hypothesis, bit stuffing is detected and the branches taken are those associated with the detected bit stuffing. The most likely path hypothesis relative to the observation sequence is finally retained.

  • Publication number: 20160234052
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of receiving digital data transmitted on a coded serial digital transmission modulated on a noisy channel with non-stationary equalisation attenuation. Digital data are stored (33) associating a value of quality of transmission with the information elements received, and a mutual information value Ik is computed (34) for each value of said quality of transmission. Said value of quality of transmission consists of an equivalent signal/noise plus interference ratio calculated as a function of said method of equalisation on the basis of various signal/channel noise ratio values measured for the various temporal symbols of information elements received of the signal received corresponding to one and the same information element and according to interference due to said waveform.

  • Patent number: 9184769
Abstract: The method according to the invention relates to the decoding of a sequence of symbols, the sequence of symbols having been generated by: calculating a CRC value for an initial message; combining the initial message and the CRC value so as to produce a transformed message; and, encoding the transformed message. The decoding comprises: generating a number of path hypotheses via a trellis diagram corresponding to the trellis diagram of a finite-state machine comprising the encoder and the CRC generator, in which the encoder and the CRC generator are supplied with the same input. According to a preferred embodiment of the method, the trellis diagram is adapted to take into account bit stuffing possibly inserted in the transformed message before encoding.
