  • Patent number: 11746207
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing particles with pore structures, by means of a hybrid process of atomization via drying-cooling, from a water-in-oil-type emulsion of a composition of a non-solubilized and in melt state matrix. The production method comprises: i) forming a water-in-oil-type emulsion consisting of a composition of a solvent that is aqueous or soluble in water (dispersed phase) and a composition of a non-solubilized and in melt state matrix (continuous phase); ii) forming discrete particles from the emulsion via atomization, using a flow of gas at high pressure and temperature; iii) immediately removing the solvent via evaporation; and iv) subsequently cooling the formed discrete particles, resulting in porous particles that are substantially free from solvents.

  • Patent number: 9533260
Abstract: A method for obtaining sweet gas, synthetic gas, and sulphur from natural gas. The method includes the steps of removing impurities from the natural gas for obtaining pre-treated natural gas; sweetening the pre-treated natural gas through a separation using a plurality of membranes for obtaining sweet gas and acid gases; ionizing the acid gases to dissociate them into sulphur and synthetic gas with remnants of acid gases; and neutralizing the synthetic gas with remnants of acid gases for generating sweet gas. Likewise, a system is presented on how to implement the method.

  • Publication number: 20140056981
Abstract: A method for producing drug-loaded polymeric nanoparticles, which includes the steps of: (a) preparing a first solution by dissolving a drug in a polymerizable monomer; (b) preparing a micellar solution by dissolving a surfactant and a water-soluble radical initiator in water; (c) adding said first solution to said micellar solution for polymerizing said polymerizable monomer, obtaining a dispersion of drug-loaded polymeric nanoparticles, the drug-loaded polymeric nanoparticles have a controlled size with average diameter smaller than 50 nm; and (d) evaporating residual polymerizable monomer from the dispersion of drug-loaded polymeric nanoparticles.

  • Publication number: 20130149381
Abstract: A method for preparing polymeric nanoparticles having entrapped active ingredients or drugs, the method includes the step of preparing a reaction by mixturing water, a surfactant, and a water-soluble radical initiator; polymerizing a polymerizable monomer in the reaction to obtain a dispersion of polymeric nanoparticles having a controlled size with average diameters smaller than 50 nm; dissolving one or more active ingredients in a suitable solvent; adding the solution of active ingredients to the dispersion of polymeric nanoparticles and allowing that the active ingredients to become entrapped within polymeric nanoparticles; and evaporating the dispersion of polymeric nanoparticles having entrapped active ingredients to evaporate the residual monomer and the solvent used as a vehicle for loading the active ingredient.

  • Patent number: 8039558
Abstract: It is depicted a polymer composition with elastomeric properties at wide temperature ranges of the type comprising polymers and/copolymers resulting from substituted or unsubstituted vinyl aromatic monomers and from dienic monomers, which is homogeneous and compatible in nature, with such composition being based on stereoregular polymers and without requiring the additional use of compatibilizing agents. Likewise, it is depicted the process to obtain the same, as well as to hydrogenise them, without requiring the use of additional catalyzers or processes.

  • Publication number: 20070060692
Abstract: The invention relates to a polymeric composition having elastomeric properties over wide temperature ranges, of the type that comprises polymers and/of copolymers which are derived from substituted or non-substituted vinylaromatic monomers and compatible, homogeneous diene monomers. The inventive composition is based on stereoregular polymers and does not require the use of compatibilizer agents. The invention further relates to the method of obtaining said compositions and of hydrogenating same without the need for additional catalysts or methods.

  • Patent number: 6376615
Abstract: The present invention describes the preparation of copolymers grafted by the so-called “grafting from” method, comprising two steps. In the first step, a polymer of a variable type referred to as poly(M1) is reacted with persistent free radicals of the type diphenyltrialkylsilyloxymethyl to form a reactive polymer poly(M1)F, containing a variable number F of these groups attached to the chain. F represents the average functionality of the reactive polymers and may be predetermined by controlling the ratio of poly(M1) and the free radical generator or TPES. In the second step, poly(M1)F is dissolved in a monomer M2 and then redissociated by heating to temperatures of 110-130° C. to produce the macroradical poly(M1) and the persistent radicals. The macroradical poly(M1) rapidly initiates polymerization whereas the diphenyltrialkylsilyloxymethyl radical stays temporarily on the sideline of the initiation reaction.
