Patent number: 10557276Abstract: In a mobile stage system, a pair of hydraulic actuators at each end of the stage, in combination with certain structural elements, provides all of the necessary movement to transition the mobile stage system from the transport position to a deployed position, i.e., raise the roof and deploy an outer deck panel of the stage. The roof includes a first upper panel and a second upper panel, which rotate upward while the outer deck panel rotates downward. The upper deck panels of the mobile stage are automatically locked into place when in the deployed position by way of the linkage members connecting the outer deck panel to the upper panels.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2018Date of Patent: February 11, 2020Assignee: Century Industries, LLCInventor: Robert D. Patent number: 9021746Abstract: A bleacher system has a support structure that includes multiple cross members at spaced intervals, but includes no longitudinal rails. The support structure further includes an axle carrier sub-frame mounted between two of the cross members. One or more tiers are mounted on the support structure. Each tier includes multiple girders at spaced intervals, each girder supporting a plurality of seat supports and a plurality of foot board supports, with seat planks or seats then secured to the seat supports and foot planks secured to the foot board supports in each tier. The bleacher system may be provided with front and/or rear jacks for use when the bleacher system is in a deployed position. The bleacher system may also include a hitch tube to facilitate attachment to a vehicle when the bleacher system is in a transport position.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2013Date of Patent: May 5, 2015Assignee: Century Industries, LLCInventor: Robert D. Patent number: 8978311Abstract: In a mobile stage system, a pair of hydraulic actuators at each end of the stage, in combination with certain structural elements, provides all of the necessary movement to transition the mobile stage system from the transport position to a deployed position, i.e., raise the roof and deploy the canopies. The hydraulic actuators not only control raising of the roof and deployment of the canopies, but also deployment of the outer deck panels of the stage. The roof panels and the canopy panels of the mobile stage system may also be in the form of a single, one-piece fabric covering. The mobile stage system may also be provided with a hitch assembly that can be folded out of view of the audience.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2013Date of Patent: March 17, 2015Assignee: Century Industries, LLCInventor: Robert D. Patent number: 8296999Abstract: A bleacher system comprises: a support structure mounted on wheels; two or more tiers mounted on the support structure, each tier including multiple girders at spaced intervals that are operably connected to the support structure, each girder supporting a plurality of seat supports and a plurality of foot board supports, with seat planks then secured to the seat supports and foot planks secured to the foot board supports in each tier; and at least one actuator operably connected to and extending between the support structure and a selected tier, such that extension of a rod of the hydraulic actuator causes the selected tier to pivot from a transport position into a deployed position, while also causing a corresponding movement of the remaining tiers from the transport position into the deployed position.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2011Date of Patent: October 30, 2012Assignee: Century Industries, LLCInventor: Robert D.
