Abstract: The present invention discloses a photovoltaic assembly for a portable solar energy system, the photovoltaic assembly comprising: a row of interconnected photovoltaic panels or laminates; a foldable stiffening and/or supporting structure comprising articulated members, the foldable stiffening and/or supporting structure being movable between a folded position, in which the articulated members are received in a receiving zone provided in the photovoltaic assembly, and an operative position, in which the foldable stiffening and/or supporting structure protrudes out from the receiving zone; and wherein the receiving zone comprises at least one intermediate region located adjacent to contiguous longitudinal side edges of adjacent photovoltaic panels or laminates, said intermediate region being configured to receive therein in the folded position one or more of the articulated members of the stiffening and/or supporting structure.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a photovoltaic assembly for a portable solar energy system, the photovoltaic assembly comprising a row of interconnected photovoltaic panels, each photovoltaic panel comprising a perimeter frame; a foldable stiffening and/or supporting structure comprising articulated members, the foldable stiffening and/or supporting structure being movable between a folded position and an operative position; wherein it further comprises at least two support elements, each support element defining a support section for receiving and supporting at least one longitudinal side edge of the perimeter frame of two adjacent photovoltaic panels; said support element comprising a first lateral face perpendicular; and wherein one or more articulated members of the foldable stiffening and/or supporting structure are connected in an articulated manner to the first lateral face of the corresponding support element without traversing the one or more longitudinal side edges received in the support section.
Abstract: The deployable solar tracker system comprises a single-axis solar tracker (1) including a plurality of foldable panel array sections (10, 10a). Each foldable panel array section (10, 10a) comprises a shaft section (11), a plurality of support ribs (12) hinged to the shaft section (11), a plurality of solar panels (13) attached to the support ribs (12) and a handling element (28) attached on top of the shaft section (11). The handling element (28) has one or more handle openings (29, 30) dimensioned for receiving one or more lift members oriented in a transversal direction perpendicular to the shaft section (11). The handle openings (29, 30) of the handling elements (28) of the plurality of the foldable panel array sections (10, 10a) are mutually aligned when the plurality of foldable panel array sections (10, 10a) are arranged in a shipping arrangement.
Abstract: The single axis solar tracking assembly comprises a plurality of spine sections (2) connected to one another by universal joints (10), supporting legs (3) rotatably supporting the spine sections (2) on the ground, a plurality of brackets attached to each spine section (2), a plurality of rib members (4) connected to the brackets, and solar panels (5) secured to the rib members (4). The rib members (4) are moveable between a folded position and a deployed position. An auxiliary shaft is located between adjacent universal joints (10) connected to adjacent spine sections (2). First and second crossed spine hinge axes of the universal joints are arranged so that the spine sections (2) can be fold at right angles to the auxiliary shaft and the spine sections (2) can be fold in a zig zag fashion into a compact storage position in which the solar panels are arranged in adjacent parallel planes.
