    Abstract: A light weight panel is made from strips of thin wood which are joined side by side in a roughly 45 angle. Sheets of such joined strips are combined in layers with the strips of each layer orthogonal to the strips of the adjacent layer and are bonded into a panel if any desired length and width. A usable structural panel is then cut from the boded sheets so that the strips are diagonal to the edges of the structural panel.
