Abstract: A flag support system comprising a staff, a base for mounting the staff to a vertical surface and a drop weight for maintaining tension upon the bottom end of the flag in its angulated position. A finial is disposed at the top end of the staff, which finial, drop weight and base element have a common configurational aspect for enhancing the appearance of the flag staff assembly as a whole as well as the functionality thereof.
