  • Patent number: 5165596
Abstract: The connection strip is for use with a dual-purpose hot water and central heating boiler. The strip comprises four modules made of molded hard plastic and assembled side-by-side by being mutually juxtaposed with tie bars passing through them, the modules being respectively associated with outgoing heating water, outgoing domestic hot water, incoming cold water, and returned heating water, each module including the corresponding stopcocks and ducts together with lengths of a short-circuit duct enabling the modules to co-operate to form a short-circuit on the heating circuit, suitable for feeding water to said heating circuits and for enabling leak tests to be performed when the boiler is not present.

  • Patent number: 5016922
Abstract: To connect two pipes together, a female end-piece (1) is fitted thereon comprising an annular seal housed in an annular cup (2) and a pin (6) guided in transverse slides (9) and, respectively, a male end-piece ending in a collar and adapted to crush the seal axially. The pin comprises two arms (8) whose end sections (8.sub.2) allow the collar to pass axially and whose base sections (8.sub.1) on the contrary serve for clamping the collar axially against the seal, these base sections ending in ramps (R) facilitating the beginning of cooperation between the arms and collar. Hooks (12) limit the outgoing travel of the pin.

  • Patent number: 4996950
Abstract: A double pipe is disclosed for mixed boilers comprising rectilinear segments in which the two duct sections are juxtaposed laterally. Each section (A,B) is defined, on its side the furthest away from the other section, by a plate (1,7) whose two longitudinal borders (2,3,8,9) are curved and are welded against the longitudinal borders of an intermediate partition (4) and this intermediate partition has stamped bosses (5) whose tops (6) are in contact with said plates and are fixed thereto.

  • Patent number: 4958765
Abstract: A device is divulged for controlling and regulating the gas supply to the burner of a boiler or similar, which device comprises a piloted regulator (R) with a leak valve (8) for the gas flow. The burner is also fed with pressurized air and opening of the leak valve is slaved to the flow of this pressurized air so that the ratio between the two air and gas flows permanently has a value providing excellent combustion of the air-gas mixture in the burner.

  • Patent number: 4909191
Abstract: The invention concerns a single or double circuit hot water production applicance comprising, for the water, one or two nests of parallel vertical coaxial tubes (1) connecting together two rings (2,3) which are also coaxial and, for the combustive air admitted, an external jacket (7) with double wall and, finally, for the combustion gases, an annular intermediate sleeve (9) and a central discharge chimney (10, 11). The burner (14) fed with pressurized fuel gas (at 16) is disposed annularly between the upper ring (3) and the top of the chimney (11) and it is adapted so as to generate downwardly oriented flames. An inclined bottom (29) collects the condensates.

  • Patent number: 4887963
Abstract: A gas burner is provided of the type distributing, through multiple nozzles (12), the flames (13) generated by the combustion of a pressurized fuel gas in air, comprising an air-fox (1) one wall (3) of which is perforated with a large number of closely spaced orifices (5), a gas feed-tank (7) connected to a pressurized fuel gas source and a plurality of hollow needles (11) each connecting the inside of the feed-tank (7) to the central zone of the inlet of an orifice (5) in the perforated wall (3) so as to define with this orifice one of the flame production sites (12). The air-box is connected to a pressurized air source, the orifices are cylindrical and a mechanical obstacle (16) is provided in the centre of the outlet of each orifice, for deflecting the gas jet leaving the needle and mixing it with the air stream which surrounds it.

  • Patent number: 4850427
Abstract: An overheating and scaling control device for a fluid heating apparatus, such as a domestic water heater, removes the hot fluid in the heater when demand ceases. A piston (46) mobile within a case (28) separates the latter into two compartments (32, 36) respectively connected to the cold water supply pipe (16) and to the hot water discharge pipe (22). In operation, the pressure in pipe (16) is higher than the pressure in pipe (22) and piston (46) is moved to the left. On stopping, the pressures are equal in both pipes and spring (40) moves piston (46) to the right. Cold water is fed into the exchanger tube (20), so that the hot water contained in the latter is discharged into pipe (38) and compartment (36).

  • Patent number: 4751897
Abstract: A heating body is provided for a gas water heater in the form of a vertical tubular chamber (1) obstructed at its upper end by a heat exchanger (2) itself having a pipe section (4) through which the water to be heated flows, the rear (6) and side (7,8) portions of the wall of said chamber being formed by a protective metal sheet (11) lined on the inside with a refractory material body (10). The front portion (9) of said wall is a heat conducting metal panel adapted so as to form a capacity or chamber (16) through which the water to be heated flows just upstream of the exchanger.

  • Patent number: 4740725
Abstract: The hydraulic microturboalternator comprises a plastic molding which wraps the laminated stator (2) of the microalternator while providing an interior water chamber (20) intended to receive the rotor (1) and of which the inner diameter is at least equal to the outer diameter of the rotor increased by a fraction of the radial thickness of an airgap of particular shape and size, said molded body being sealingly closed by a casing (14) which limits a water chamber (21) containing the turbine (15) and which communicates with the chamber (20). Application is to gas-operated apparatuses for the production of hot water but designed to function without a permanent ignition pilot.
