Abstract: A frame assembly for displaying an object is described. In an embodiment, the frame assembly comprises a printable, rigid material forming a rectangular shaped outer frame that defines an area in which the object, such as a photograph, is displayed. The outer frame is made of a rigid, multilayer substrate that has been machined with grooves that allows it to be manipulated to form front and side walls, such that an image can be printed or wrapped around the entire surface. A method of making the frame assembly is also described. The method comprises printing an image on the frame, such as by direct digital or screen printing prior to assembling the parts of the frame.
