Patents Assigned to Chauvet & Sons, LLC
  • Patent number: 11393372
Abstract: A system for creating a broad spectrum lighting apparatus for illuminating a subject. The system includes a lighting panel formed by an array of colored light emitting diodes (LEDs) representing pixels corresponding to red pixels, green pixels, blue pixels, and pixels corresponding to at least color other than red, green or blue. A control interface converts a video signal consisting of red, green, blue (RGB) data into a full spectrum light display including all of the LEDS to create a higher quality white than would have been possible with only RGB LEDs.

  • Patent number: 11020684
Abstract: A haze-filled bubble device and method for producing haze-filled bubbles are provided that encapsulates a haze inside a rapidly emitted, continuous flow of bubbles, without permitting significant amounts of the haze to escape the device outside of the bubbles. Bubble solution is pumped into a bubble wand and a wiper cycles across its face to form a meniscus of bubble solution over the bubble wand's outer face. Additionally, a haze generating assembly can selectively pump fog fluid to a heater and a resultantly generated haze is provided to an enclosed chamber. A fan in the enclosed chamber forces the haze from the chamber into a conduit that channels the haze into the bubble wand and to the miniscus, where the air flow created by the fan is used to form haze-filled bubbles.

  • Patent number: 10827595
Abstract: A system, apparatus and method for transmission of control data is provided. Application software executed on a smart phone or other computing device communicates with lighting fixtures or other configurable devices to automatically detect and pair with the devices without requiring a user to go through a pairing process. Additionally, the application software automatically places the devices in groups to coordinate the operation of those devices without requiring any complicated programming effort by a user. Further, the application software instructs each group of devices to provide a particular output or result, which may be different from group to group.

  • Patent number: 10508792
Abstract: An apparatus and method for covering the optical system of a moving head light fixture with a filter or diffuser when the lighting fixture is turned off is provided. The filter or diffuser is positioned in the optical path between a lighting element and a lens. A retraction device is energized to retract the filter or diffuser from the optical path during normal operation. Upon removal of power to the fixture, the filter mechanism automatically returns the filter or diffuser to its position in the optical path. In this way, the optical system of the fixture can be protected from damage caused by impinging strong light and/or sunlight when the fixture is not in use.

  • Patent number: 10094542
Abstract: A portable, multi-function lighting apparatus is provided that is easy to transport, re-configure and use. The lighting apparatus is configured to readily remove and replace light fixtures, so that a user can vary and customize the lighting effects as desired for each event and the apparatus can be easily disassembled and packed for transport and storage. Optionally, the apparatus can be provided as part of a kit including a light bar removably mounted on a stand, and a bag into which the light bar and stand can be stored and transported. Such a kit can also be provided with a footswitch for activating features powered by, and mounted to, the light bar. Lighting modules and/or other devices can be added to and removed from the light bar, as desired. Modules attached to the light bar receive power and control data from the light bar. Additionally, the portable, multi-function lighting apparatus can be connected with one or more other portable, multi-function lighting apparatus in a master slave relationship.

  • Patent number: 9995430
Abstract: An adjustable truss hanger is provided that creates a hang point that extends beyond, and outside of, the two upper chords of a horizontal box truss. Two clamps affix the truss hanger to the upper chord pair of a horizontally oriented box truss. The hanging point is provided on at least one end of the truss hanger bar, and not between the clamps, for providing the hanging point at the end of a cantilever. Objects, such as video panels and/or video walls, can thus hang in front of the horizontal truss, obscuring the truss from view.
