Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing a fancy yarn, in which a core and effect yarn 5 are fed along a path to a false twist device 6 and a binding yarn 4 is fed via a rotating component 1 adjacent the path, the component rotating about an axis transverse to the path, and having a yarn guiding portion 3 radially spaced from the axis, whereby the binding yarn is caused to perform a reciprocating, oscillating motion with respect to the core and effect yarns.
Abstract: Process for the manufacture of a fancy yarn having stable protuberances along its length, wherein at least one effect yarn is fed onto a core yarn at a greater speed than the latter, the protuberances thus produced and the core yarn being bound together by the combination of feeding of the effect yarn in an oscillating manner relative to the core yarn and increasing the twist of the assembly passing through a simple false twist device, without the need for heat setting means.
Abstract: The invention relates to a new highly elastic textured thread obtained by a process which consists in treating by false twisting a synthetic thread previously drawn in a cracking bath, the process being characterized in that, on the one hand, the level of the twist imparted temporarily to the thread during the treatment of false twist is much higher than that usually imparted, and that, on the other hand, the heat treatment in the supertwisted state is carried out at a temperature higher than that utilized for threads obtained according to French Pat. Abstract: The invention relates to a new spindle for false twist by friction.This spindle contains two hollow elements with parallel axes, rotating in opposite directions, equipped at their ends with friction elements, and it is characterized by the fact that it also contains at least one member for guidance and return of the thread positioned between the rotary hollow cylindrical elements, and which does not stop the twist imparted to the thread by the friction elements, the axis of this guidance and return member being offset with respect to a plane containing the longitudinal axes of the hollow cylindrical elements, and the plane in which the thread is contained as it passes around the guidance and return member intersecting the plane formed by the longitudinal axes of the hollow cylindrical elements.This spindle is particularly applicable in the high-speed false-twist texturing of synthetic threads.
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved false twist spindle having means for attenuating noises which are emitted during operation. The spindle according to the invention contains sound-reducing means which allow free access to the various components of the spindle, which means are formed by an enveloping insulating plate which partly surrounds the spindle assembly, and an insulating ring or cylinder surrounding the twist tube in its part equipped with the twist locking means.The invention applies primarily to high-speed false twist spindles in which the twist is imparted by means of a twist tube equipped with twist locking means.
