  • Patent number: 9162400
Abstract: A utility truck with arched reinforcing rods incorporated into the base of a plastic truck during molding. The reinforcing rods are held in place in a mold at a predetermined distance above the mold's inner surface by spacers attached to the ends of the rods. Plastic is molded around the rods, with more plastic provided below the rods than above them, so that, when the plastic truck is removed from the mold and allowed to cool, the plastic will contract to a greater extent than the metal rods, causing the base and the reinforcing rods to bow upward, creating a convex arch in the truck's base. The arch provides an inherently strong, bridge-type structure that substantially strengthens the load-bearing capability of the truck, yet requires less reinforcing material than conventional supplemental chassis structures. In another embodiment, caster base mounts are also molded into the bottom of the truck, providing a utility truck with a unitary chassis structure.

  • Patent number: 7647880
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adjustable mounting system for a leaning post for a boat having a pair of side-by-side seat posts. The leaning post is provided with a pair of brackets to which hollow cylindrical support posts can be adjustably mounted. The spacing between the support posts can be adjusted to align with the spacing of a pair of conventional hollow cylindrical side-by-side vertical seat posts. A pair of spaced apart parallel slots in the mounting brackets receive bolts that secure the support posts to the mounting bracket and allow the distance between the support posts to be adjusted to align with the distance between the seat posts.

  • Patent number: 6932192
Abstract: A bracket to hold a boarding ladder to a boat. A quick release mechanism for both the ladder and the bracket itself are disclosed. A mounting plate is substantially flush with the side of the boat. The bracket slides down into the mounting plate and latches into place. The bracket accepts the upper bar of a boarding ladder and closes a latch over the bar, holding the ladder in place. To remove the ladder, a latch at the top of the bracket is lifted and the ladder can be easily pulled free. To free the bracket from the mounting plate after the ladder has been removed, the latch is lifted and the bracket can be lifted out.

  • Patent number: 5826850
Abstract: A rotatable and transferable stanchion assembly includes an elongate body having an upper end portion adapted to receive and secure thereto an accessory, and a lower end portion. A cap is mounted on the lower end portion of the body and has a lower portion with an outer external surface. A location plate, which is fastened to a flat surface, has a socket formed therein shaped for receiving the lower portion of the cap. A stud and bolt assembly secure the cap to the location plate in such a position that the lower portion of the cap is disposed within the socket of the location plate wherein the body and cap are adapted to rotate relative to the location plate. A locking plate of the present invention rotatably locks the elongate body and cap in place with respect to the location plate at a desired angle of rotation.

  • Patent number: 5588373
Abstract: A liquid containment pallet for supporting a plurality of containers containing liquids, the pallet comprising a unitarily molded confined basin defined by integral sidewalls and a bottom wall, the bottom defining integral transverse passageways for receiving the tines of a forklift for lifting and moving the pallet; the pallet further comprising a unitarily molded platform for supporting the containers and preventing the containers from sliding relative to the platform in a plurality of integrally formed recesses, each defined by a cylindrical sidewall and a bottom wall, the platform further including a plurality of downwardly projecting legs for supporting the platform with respect to the basin, at least one of the legs defining a trough for receiving spillage and including drainage provisions for communicating the spillage to the basin.

  • Patent number: 5291921
Abstract: A drainage platform supports an expendable container on a receptacle in a stable and appropriate orientation to assist in draining residual contents from the mouth of the container into the receptacle for the separate disposal of the container and the residual contents, the drainage platform including a pan with a downwardly sloping bottom and a sump with a drain, the sump being offset from the center of the drainage platform to register the drain with a corresponding offset opening in the receptacle, and a plurality of ribs establishing an essentially horizontal support for the container above the downwardly sloping bottom such that the residual contents are drained into the sump and then through the drain into the receptacle for collection and disposal of the residual contents separate from the disposal of the expendable container.
