  • Publication number: 20090166449
Abstract: An application for a device for mixing chemicals into a flow of a liquid includes a mixing chamber and an input port at a first end of the mixing chamber. The input port has an input connection for accepting a flow of the liquid and a plurality of input port channels. The input port channels direct the flow of the liquid from the input connection to the mixing chamber at an angle with respect to an inner wall of the mixing chamber. Located close to the input port is a chemical input orifice for accepting a chemical into the mixing chamber. Located at a distal end of the mixing chamber is an output port that has an output connection for discharging a mixture of the liquid and the chemical and a plurality of output port channels. The output port channels direct a flow of the mixture angularly with respect to the inner wall of the mixing chamber to the output connection.

  • Patent number: 6981854
Abstract: A small piston pump is disclosed with a housing having a pair of space and connected pistons therein. The housing has a bore with one of the pistons engaging the bore near one end and has a sleeve mounted therein adjacent the other end. The second piston slides in the bore of the sleeve. One end of the sleeve has an inlet covered by a slit valve and in the end of the sleeve adjacent the slit valve it has a radial outwardly extending opening covered by an elastic band to control the flow of fluid thru the radial outward opening. The other end of the sleeve is carried by the housing bore with a passageway therebetween. A pump output opening is disposed in the housing between the sleeve and the one of the pistons.

  • Patent number: 5234322
Abstract: A proportioning pump for liquid additive metering having a housing with a diaphragm piston therein and inlet and outlet primary fluid lines to the housing and inlet and outlet valves in the housing for moving the piston up and down. A pair of additive pistons for pumping an additive liquid into the primary fluid with the additive pistons being moved by the diaphragm piston. An overcenter spring loaded connection connects the diaphragm piston to the inlet and outlet valves and a fail safe mechanism opens both the inlet and outlet valves in the event the spring in the overcenter connection fails. One of the additive pistons has an O-ring therein which acts as a seal and a check valve.
