Abstract: A device for improving a forklift operator's field of view may include a frame sized for attachment between forks of a forklift lift-carriage and the frame having a first end, a second end, and a middle portion narrower than the first end and the second end The device may further include an opening within the frame to improve the forklift operator's field of view with the opening defined by the first end, the second end, and the middle portion The device may yet further include a pallet-stop carried by the frame having a top, a bottom, and a side that reduces in dimension between the bottom of the pallet-stop to the top of the pallet-stop. The side may align with the opening to improve the forklift operator's field of view.

Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag and systems and methods of using an RFID tag. The RFID tag is a multi-planar tag that may be incorporated with an object, such as a container or pallet. The tag and/or the tag/object combination may then be used in a method to track the location of the object. The multi-planar tag permits an object to be more easily tracked and increases the reliability of the tracking method.

Abstract: A pallet having a top support member for supporting cargo and support elements for supporting the top support member above a surface and for creating one or more cavities for receiving a lifting member for moving the pallet. The support elements may have an oval cross-section for guiding the lifting members into the cavity. The support elements may be formed from a composite material for increased strength and durability.

Abstract: A pallet assembly includes at least one pallet member having external surfaces and a flame retardant material affixed to at least one pallet member so as to substantially cover all of the external surfaces of the pallet member. A pallet includes a container, tote bin, or any other suitable device used for the storage and transportation of items. In accordance with the invention, a method of fire blocking a pallet assembly includes the step of providing a pallet assembly that can include at least one pallet member having external surfaces. The method also can include affixing a flame retardant material to at least one pallet member so as to substantially cover all of the external surfaces of the pallet member.
