Abstract: There is provided a dispensing apparatus having a liquid container located therein which is provided with a valve assembly having a foam pump and an actuator for actuating the foam pump in which the housing includes a cover pivotally attached to a backing plate. The cover is movable from a fully open position in which the container may be inserted therein to a closed position. A housing adaptor is attached to a projection on the interior surface of the cover and engages the actuator. The housing adaptor is configured so that as the cover is moved in a first direction from a non-dispensing position in which no liquid is dispensed from the container to an dispensing position, the actuator moves in a second direction to actuate the foam pump and dispense foam from the container.
Abstract: There is provided a collapsible container for dispensing liquid products, such as soap. The collapsible container is provided with V-shaped hinged portions at either end of a vertical hinge line on the sides of the container to allow inward collapse of the container and recessed panels on the front and back of the container to provide rigidity to the structure, thus allowing a controlled collapse as well as rapid filling of the collapsible container with the liquid soap.
Abstract: There is provided a dispensing apparatus in which the housing includes a cover pivotally attached to a backing plate. The cover is movable from a fully open position in which a liquid container may be inserted therein to a closed position, and the cover may be latched to the backing plate in the closed position. When closed, the cover may be pushed from a non-dispensing position in which no liquid is dispensed from the container to an engaging position in which a projection on the interior surface of the cover engages and actuates a bulb-type pressure valve to dispense liquid from the container through a dispensing tube from the bottom of the housing.
Abstract: A disposable plastic container-applicator usable as a douche having an integrally formed catheter and a container portion with a cover member enclosing the catheter. The cover member is sealed to the catheter both at a constricted portion and at a skirt portion to prevent the escape of fluid from the catheter into the surrounding atmosphere. A groove on the neck of the catheter engages a ridge on the skirt portion to form a seal. The inside diameter of the tip of the cover member is greater than the outside diameter of the catheter so as to form a cavity. To open a slit in the rounded end of the catheter for the passage of fluid, the user pinches the tip to cause the air of the cavity to pass through the slit.
