    Abstract: In a method for displaying warning signals using an electronic device while riding a bicycle, the method firstly detects any acceleration of the electronic device in three predefined axes in real time using a gravity sensor of the electronic device, and detects any angular velocity of the electronic device around any of the three predefined axes using a gyroscope of the electronic device. Secondly, the method determines a current driving condition of the bicycle according to any detected acceleration and any detected angular velocity of the electronic device. The method displays warning signals on the display screen of the electronic device according to the current driving condition of the bicycle.

    Abstract: An electronic device and method for image editing include constructing a virtual wallpaper interface, which includes an image display area and a preview window. After an image is imported from the area to the preview window, the method proportionally resizes the image. If the display ratio of the resized image is greater than that of the preview window, the electronic device and method can crop the resized image to generate an edited image that fits the aspect ratio of the preview window. If not, the electronic device and method merge at least one image with the edited image and crop the merged image to generate the edited image. By enlarging the edited image, a desired image which can cover an entire screen of the electronic device is generated.

    Abstract: In a method for naming an electronic device, a hash table including indices and corresponding character strings is preset. The electronic device is controlled to enter into a searchable state, and inserts a default name of the electronic device in a searchable device list. A shaking angle of the electronic device is calculated according to detected coordinate values acquired from a gravity sensor, when the electronic device is shaking in the searchable state and the default name needs to be changed. A hash value is calculated using the shaking angle, a UNIX timestamp, a number of the indices in the hash table, and a predetermined formula. The method further determines an index that is the same as the hash value, determines a character string corresponding to the determined index, and renames the electronic device using the determined character string.
