    Abstract: A method of measuring fat content of meat includes the steps of immersing a meat sample in a liquid, and detecting the amount of displacement of the liquid by the meat sample, the variance of such displacement as a function of fat content being predetermined, whereby the fat content is determinable from the detected displacement.
