    Abstract: The present invention discloses a resource allocation method and apparatus for resolving a technical issue of a conflict of transmission resources used by user equipment adopting mode 3 and user equipment adopting mode 4. The method comprises: a base station determining whether a shared transmission resource pool shared by first-mode user equipment and second-mode user equipment includes available resources, wherein a transmission resource of the first-mode user equipment is allocated by the base station, and a transmission resource of the second-mode user equipment is selected from the shared transmission resource pool; and if the base station determines that the shared transmission resource pool includes available resources, the base station allocating, on the basis of the available resources, a transmission resource to the first-mode user equipment.

According to the embodiments of the present invention, after determining the need for PDCP duplication transmission on a radio bearer, a CU sends a PDCP data packet transmitted on the radio bearer to a DU and instructs the DU to carry out the PDCP duplication transmission; and the DU sends the PDCP data packet to multiple radio link control (RLC) entities corresponding to the radio bearer so as to carry out the PDCP duplication transmission. Since the CU may instruct the DU to perform the PDCP duplication transmission, the PDCP data packet is subject to duplication transmission in the CU/DU separation scenario, thereby further improving the system performance.

The terminal can select an appropriate bandwidth part and a synchronization signal block or channel state information reference signal thereon to initiate the beam failure recovery process. The disclosure achieves fast beam recovery while minimizing impact on data transmission. Further, a base station is also for determining how the terminal performs the beam failure recovery, to make a timely response, to ensure effective transmission of data without wasting random access resources.
