Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of pure isoflavone derivatives of the general formula (I), ##STR1## wherein R stands for hydrogen or isopropyl,R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 stand for hydrogen or C.sub.1-2 alkoxy by reacting a rezorcinol-derivative of the general formula (III) ##STR2## wherein R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are as given above with ethyl-orthoformiate of the formula (IV)(C.sub.2 H.sub.5 O).sub.3l CH (IV)in the presence of a base and optionally by alkylating the product.

Abstract: The invention relates to an improved, large scale process for the preparation of compounds of formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R is halogen atom or hydroxyl,R.sup.2 is hydrogen atom or hydroxyl,R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are hydrogen or alkoxy having 1-6 carbon atoms.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising as active ingredient a compound of the Formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 stands for straight or branched chain alkyl comprising 1 to 8 carbon atoms; phenyl alkyl having 7 to 10 carbon atoms; phenyl; or cycloalkyl comprising 3 to 8 carbon atoms;R.sup.2 stands for straight or branched chain alkyl comprising 1 to 8 carbon atoms; alkyl comprising 1 to 8 carbon atoms substituted by halogen, hydroxy, alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or by one or two phenyl groups; phenyl; or cycloalkyl having 3 to 8 carbon atoms,with the proviso that groups R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together contain at least three carbon atoms. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of compounds of the Formula I by methods known per se.

Abstract: The invention relates to a stabile, aqueous suspoemulsion containing as active ingredient 0.2-5 weight % of primycin, 5-25 weight % of propylene glycol, 0.5-5 weight % of non-ionic surface active agent, if desired 15 weight % of auxiliary agent and distilled water in an amount necessary to 100 weight %, as well as to a process for the preparation thereof.

Abstract: The invention relates to novel compounds of the general formula (I), ##STR1## The compounds of the invention antagonize the effects of constrictive mediators, e.g. histamine, acetylcholine or serotonin; they show an antiallergic action and possess an antiinflammatory effect. Thus, these compounds can therapeutically be used as bronchodilators as well as antiallergic or antiinflammatory drugs, particularly in the treatment of bronchial asthma.

Abstract: A process is disclosed for preparing a synergistic, crystalline product consisting of solely enantiomer pair 1RCisS and 1SCisR and enantiomer pair 1RTransS and 1STransR of cypermethrin in a 3:7 to 5:5 crystalline mixture, which comprises the steps of: (a) epimerizing an oily melt or a saturated solution of enantiomer pair 1RCisS and 1SCisR and enantiomer pair 1RTransS and 1STransR in a ratio other than 3:7 to 5:5, or a mixture of enantiomer pair 1RCisS and 1SCisR, enantiomer pair 1RTransS and 1STransR together with enantiomer pair 1RCisR and 1SCisS and enantiomer pair 1RTransR and 1STransS, said saturated solution including a protic or apolar, aprotic inert organic solvent by treating said oily melt or saturated solution with an organic or inorganic base at a temperature of -15.degree. Abstract: This invention relates to a primycin-containing colloidal basic gel comprising 5-30% of primycin and 95-70% of N-methyl-pyrrolidone-2. The invention also relates to antibacterial compositions particularly for the treatment of acne vulgaris comprising as active ingredient 0.1-100% of a primycin-containing colloidal basic gel, if desired together with further antimicrobial active ingredients, in admixture with 99.9-0% of usual inert pharmaceutical filling, diluting and other formulating additives. The invention also relates to combination composition comprising as active ingredient 1-60% of a primycin-containing colloidal basic gel and 0.1-40% of further pharmaceutical active ingredient(s), e.g. one or more antibiotic(s), chemotherapeutical agent(s), fungistatic or fungicidal agent(s), steroidal or non-steroidal antiinflammatory agent (s), epithelogenic agent(s), local anaesthetic(s), and/or vitamin(s).

Abstract: The invention relates to an emulsifiable microemulsion concentrate containing a phophoric acid ester and/or thiophosphoric acid ester as active ingredient. Abstract: The invention relates to salts of primycin formed with an organic acid--preferably a C.sub.1-16 aliphatic carboxylic acid, a halogenated carboxylic acid, an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, an aromatic carboxylic acid, a substituted aromatic carboxylic acid or an organic sulfonic acid--or an inorganic acid--preferably a hydrohalogenic acid. There is further on provided a process for the preparation of new primycin salts which comprises reacting a suspension of primycin sulfate formed with an aliphatic alcohol containing 1-4 carbon atoms with a barium salt. The new primycin salts of the present invention possess excellent antibiotic properties.

Abstract: According to the present invention there is provided a synergistic insecticidal composition containing more than one active ingredients and being harmless to environment characterized by comprising in an amount of from 0.001 to 99% by weight a synthetic pyrethroid of the Formula /I/ ##STR1## namely substantially only the 1RtransS and 1StransR entantiomer-pair /Ib/ out from the possible eight isomers--optionally in admixture with an amount of up to 100% by weight of one or more activator/s/ and auxiliary agent/s/, particularly antioxidants, stabilizing agents, wetting agents, emulsifying agents, dispersing agents, antifoam agents, diluents and/or fillers.The enantiomer-pair Ib consisting of the 1RtransS and 1StransR isomers is new and the invention also relates to the said new enantiomer-pair and a process for the preparation thereof.

Abstract: A veterinary composition is disclosed which is suitable against endoparasites and which contains as active ingredients:(a) alpha-(cyano)-3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethyl-cyclopropane-carboxylic a cid-3-phenoxybenzyl ester or any isomeric mixture thereof; and(b) 5(6)-propylthio-2-benzimidazolyl-methylcarbamate, wherein the weight ratio of the two respective compounds is 1:1 to 1.5:1, in combination with a carrier that is inert for veterinary purposes.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a new process for the preparation of carbinols of the general formula I ##STR1## by reaction chloral and olefins of the general formula ##STR2## and by optional acylation of the product comprising dissolving a catalyst of the general formula IIIFe.sub.n (NH.sub.4).sub.x Y.sub.m .multidot.A.sub.p IIIin chloral, then adding the olefin of the general formula II in order to produce a complex of the general formula IV ##STR3## from which a complex of the general formula V ##STR4## is formed, and from the reaction mixture a compound of the general formula I is obtained whereafter(a) the residual complex of the general formula V dissolved in the product is decomposed with an acidic solution and if desired the obtained product is distilled or(b) the product in the reaction mixture is acylated.The compounds prepared according to the invention can be utilized as intermediates when preparing e.g., permethrin and other pyrethroid insecticides.

Abstract: The invention relates to a new process for the preparation of compounds of the Formula I ##STR1## (wherein R stands for hydrogen or methyl) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof which comprises reacting a compound of the Formula V ##STR2## (wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 stand for an aliphatic acyloxy group comprising 2-6 carbon atoms and optionally substituted by halogen; or for an aromatic acyloxy group comprising 7-11 carbon atoms) with an amine of the Formula VI ##STR3## (wherein R has the same meaning as stated above) or a salt thereof and subjecting the compound of the Formula VII ##STR4## thus obtained (wherein R, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are as stated above) to hydrolysis after or without isolation and if desired converting the compound of the Formula I thus obtained into a salt thereof or setting free the same from its salt.The compounds of the Formula I are known antibacterial agents.

Abstract: According to the present invention there is provided an insecticidal composition containing more than one active ingredients which comprises as active ingredient in an amount of 0.001-99% by weight a synthetic pyrethroid of the general Formula I ##STR1## wherein X stands for chlorine or bromine--namely out of the eight possible isomers at least 95% of a 55:45-25:75 mixture of the enantiomer-pairs Ia:Ib, wherein Ia is 1RcisS+1ScisR and Ib is 1RtransS++1StransR--if desired, in admixture with an activator and/or with an amount of up to 100% of an auxiliary agent, preferably an antioxidant, stabilizer, wetting agent, emulsifying agent, dispersing agent, antifoam agent, diluent, carrier, and/or filler.The advantage of the insecticidal composition of the present invention is that it is less toxical towards warm-blooded animals and useful parasites and is therefore much less harmful to the environment.
