Patents Assigned to Chisso Engineering Co. Ltd.
  • Patent number: 4456186
Abstract: An electrically heated reactor for high temperature and pressure chemical reactions includes a reactor vessel having an inlet opening for introduction of raw material onto the reactor and an outlet opening for removal of heated material from the reactor. An electric heating assembly extends through the inlet opening into the interior of the vessel and includes a metallic inner tube through which raw material can be introduced into the vessel and an outer ferromagnetic tube arranged in spaced concentric relationship with respect to the inner tube and generally coextensive in length therewith. The innermost ends of the tubes are electrically connected to each other by a metallic member which seals the space between the tubes. An electrical insulating medium is disposed within the space.

  • Patent number: 4374705
Abstract: A new distillation equipment for alcohol which consists mainly of a brief concentrating column A, a concentrating column B, a compressor C to compress alcohol vapor generated in column B and water evaporator D heated by the compressed alcohol vapor is developed and this especially fits for a distillation source of a glue like solution obtained by alcohol fermentation because steam generated in the water evaporator D is directly blown into the solution in the concentrating column A.

  • Patent number: 4013430
Abstract: In the process wherein industrial exhaust gases containing nitrogen oxides and SO.sub.2 are treated with an absorbing solution containing an iron chelate complex and a sulfite to remove nitrogen oxides and SO.sub.2, the absorptivity of the solution is reduced sometimes on account of dithionate formed during the treatment. The absorptivity-reduced absorbing solution is regenerated by heat-treating the solution at a pH of 3.0 or lower and a temperature of 80.degree. C or higher whereby the dithionate is decomposed.
