  • Patent number: 4012340
Abstract: A process for preparing catalysts for hydrodesulfurization which have fine pores sharply distributed in the range of 50 to 200A by the steps of adding a molybdate to a water soluble aluminum complex represented by the general formula Al.sub.n (OH).sub.m X.sub.3n.sub.-m, wherein 1< n< 100, 3n> m; n/(3n-m) .ltoreq. 16 and X is a univalent anion, to obtain a uniform solution composition, treating the same hydrothermally, then adding, if required by the desired catalyst composition, a molybdenum or tungsten compound; adding one or more cobalt or nickel compounds; further adding and mixing one or more members selected from polyhydric alcohols, high-molecular organic substances and amine group substances and then treating the mixture in usual ways such as drying, calcinating, grinding, moisture adjusting, molding, roasting and the like.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 10, 1975
Date of Patent: March 15, 1977
Assignee: Chiyoda Kako Kensetsu Kabushiki Kaisha

  • Patent number: 3956101
Abstract: High grade cokes are produced by a simple expedient such that a raw material oil is charged into a coking drum and is subjected therein to a two step operation, namely reforming of the oil and subsequent coking under bubbling into the oil of a heated non-oxidizing gas. No fluidized bed of the oil to be coked is formed.
