  • Patent number: 5675973
Abstract: A water cooling device for water purifiers is disclosed. The device rapidly cools the purified water by precooling and main-cooling thermoelements prior to delivering the purified water for users to drink, thereby saving electrical energy and providing commercially-viable water purifiers. The water cooling device has an auxiliary purified water pipe branched from the main purified water pipe, the main pipe leading from the water purifying system to the purified water tank. The auxiliary purified water pipe leads to the water cooling tank provided with a first thermoelement. A second thermoelement is mounted to the auxiliary purified water pipe and adapted for precooling the purified water before the purified water is introduced into the cooling tank.

  • Patent number: 5609033
Abstract: A water cooling device for water purifiers is disclosed. In the above cooling device, the hot junction of a thermoelement compositely dissipate heat due to both latent heat of vaporization generated by water vaporization and air current blown by a blower fan, thereby cooling the purified water contained in the cold water tank more rapidly. The above thermoelement absorbs heat from the cold water tank at its cold junction and dissipates the heat to atmosphere at its hot junction. The above hot junction has a plurality of radiating fins which is covered with a zigzagged cooling water absorbing member saturated with cooling water. The cooling water is heated and vaporized by the heat of the hot junction thereby cooling the hot junction. The above radiating fins and zigzagged water absorbing member are clipped together by a clip unit in order to be brought into close contact with each other.

  • Patent number: 5503739
Abstract: An improved heat dissipating device for water purifier's thermoelement is disclosed. The device selectively uses either the fresh water or waste water of a membrane as refrigerant to absorb and dissipate heat of the thermoelement's hot junction. The above device is connected to a waste water drain conduit of the membrane and to a fresh water bypass conduit, thereby being selectively supplied with either the waste water of the membrane or the fresh water as the refrigerant. The waste water drain conduit has a flow control valve for controlling the amount of waste water to be supplied for the heat dissipating device. The fresh water bypass conduit has a solenoid valve for making the fresh water be directly supplied for the heat dissipating device when the fresh water is not supplied for the water purifying system as the purified water tank has been filled with the purified water.
