Abstract: The present disclosure provides oral, chewable dosage forms that are suitable for delivery of one or more active ingredients to a consumer, particularly a human individual. The dosage forms can be configured as multicomponent compositions formed of a first component including a gummy composition, at least one further component including a composition that is different from the gummy composition, and an active ingredient. The gummy composition and the second composition can be co-deposited to form multicomponent dosage forms wherein a gummy shell at least partially surrounds a core that is solid or liquid at standard temperature.

Abstract: An improved electronic diagnostic device for detecting the presence of an analyte in a fluid sample comprises a casing having a display, a test strip mounted in the casing, a processor mounted in the casing, and a first sensor mounted in the casing and operatively coupled to the processor. The processor is configured to receive a signal from the first sensor when the device is exposed to ambient light thereby causing the device to become activated. The device includes a light shield that exerts pressure across a width of the test strip to prevent fluid channeling along the length of the test strip. The processor is configured to present an early positive test result reading when a measured value exceeds a predetermined early reading threshold value at any time after a predetermined early testing time period.

Abstract: An electric toothbrush with a replaceable brush head section is disclosed. The electric toothbrush includes a handle including a motor therein and a brush head section. The toothbrush has a longitudinal axis extending through the handle to the far end of the brush head. The brush head section includes a translation head and an oscillation head, each of which has a bristle support member, one of which will rotate and oscillate and the other of which will not rotate or oscillate, but will reciprocate along, or substantially parallel to, the longitudinal, axis. The translation head is adapted so that its motion will induce a different motion in the bristle head of the oscillation head. The invention results in reduced assembly costs.
Abstract: A condom together with a lubrication composition, the lubricating composition containing a minimal amount of free water, and comprising one or more glycols, such that the glycols in the lubricant release heat and warmth when contact with compositions containing free water.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and test kits for detecting and quantifying an analyte level in a biological fluid sample using impedance measurements, are disclosed. The fluid sample is applied to a lateral flow strip, and impedance of the strip is measured as the assay dries. Analysis of the drying-dependent impedance measurements indicates the presence and quantity of the analyte in the fluid sample.

Abstract: A bottle handling apparatus handles bottles (50) of a nominal neck (70) radius. The apparatus has a carrier (140) and a plurality of bottle guides (100; 180; 200) mounted to the carrier and each comprising a bottle-engaging recess (110). The bottle-engaging recess accommodates necks of different eccentricities.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to diagnostic test devices that provide increased comfort and ease of use. The diagnostic test device can include a test member, such as a lateral flow assay test strip. The test device can further comprise a housing that comprises a substantially arch shaped handle. The housing of the test device can comprise a base member that is attached to a curved lower surface of the housing and that can improve stability of the device in an upward facing position as well as enable angled positioning of the device relative to a flat, horizontal surface. The curvature of the test device in particular can provide secure handling of the device while also improving ease and comfort of use thereof. The disclosure further relates to methods of determining the presence of an analyte in a fluid sample and methods for evaluating a test result of a personal use diagnostic test device.

Abstract: There is provided an absorbent composition for water-based liquids, wherein dusting normally associated with handling of powdered absorbent materials is significantly reduced. The composition can be an animal litter, such as cat litter. The composition is formed by mixing a filler with a de-dusting agent and spraying an aqueous slurry of a deodorizing agent onto the mixture. The mixture is then added to a water absorbing material such as clay to uniformly mix the deodorizing agent with the water absorbing material.
