  • Patent number: 11004293
Abstract: A method for testing a valuable document including illuminating the valuable document line by line such that a first group of lines is illuminated with light of a first wavelength and a second group of lines is illuminated with light of a second wavelength, reflection light that is reflected from the lines and/or transmission light that passes through the lines. First data are representative of the reflection light and/or transmission light assigned to the lines of the first group and second data are representative of the reflection light and/or transmission light assigned to the lines of the second group. Further, processing the first data such that a first image generated from the first data has a first resolution, and the second data such that a further image generated from the second data has a second resolution, comparing the first and second images with first and further reference images.

  • Patent number: 10803691
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a magnetic security feature of a valuable document including a transport apparatus configured to transport the valuable document through the apparatus, sensors configured as magnetic sensors and having at least two security feature sensors and at least one compensation sensor, and an evaluation unit configured to receive the signals output by the sensors, wherein the sensors are arranged and configured in a line parallel to the transport plane and transversely with respect to the direction of transport. The sensors are arranged at a distance from the transport plane such that the distance of the security feature sensors is configured to capture a security feature by means of at least one of the security feature sensors, and that the distance of the compensation sensor is configured not to capture a security feature by means of the compensation sensor.

  • Patent number: 10560691
Abstract: A system including a processing device and an exchangeable camera connected thereto for detecting a machine-readable security feature of a valuable document. The system is calibrated by means of processing device correction data, which relate to characteristics of the processing device, and camera calibration data, which relate to the characteristics of the processing device and of the camera connected thereto. The camera includes a memory configured to store the processing device correction data and the camera calibration data relating to the System in which the calibration is carried out, and the processing device includes a memory configured to store the processing device correction data and the camera calibration data relating to the system in which operation for detecting a machine-readable security feature of the valuable document is carried out.
