  • Patent number: 7484257
Abstract: Electromotive furniture drive for displacing parts of a piece of furniture relative to one another. The drive includes a drive element that can linearly move along a linear motion axis. This drive is provided for pivoting a pivotal element, which can pivot about a pivot axis and which, when the furniture drive is in a mounted position, is actively connected to a part of the piece of furniture to be displaced. An element may be provided that, during the displacing motion, maintains the engagement between the drive and the pivotal element at a point P that is essentially fixed along the linear motion axis. The furniture drive can be easily and economically produced and has a sturdy design.

  • Patent number: 7478447
Abstract: The invention relates to an adjusting device (10) for beds, mattresses, armchairs and the like, which comprises support elements (12) that extend at an angle to the adjusting direction (A), especially on both sides, and that form together a plane of support (12A), and at least one drive device (24) for modifying the inclination of the plane of support, said drive device comprising at least one pivotable raising lever (14). In order to provide an adjusting device that is simple in design, at least one pivotable raising lever (14) is combined with a plurality of bar members (16A-G) that can be pivoted relative one another so that the general raising movement is combined with the ergonomic detail movement.

  • Patent number: 7386901
Abstract: Modular system for assembling a motorized adjustable support apparatus for the upholstery of a piece of furniture for one of sitting and lying includes a first support element including a first longitudinal rail assembly, and a second support element including a second longitudinal rail assembly. The first and second longitudinal rail assemblies are detachably connected by a connecting element to form a base of the support apparatus, in use. The assembled adjustable support apparatus includes the two support elements adjustable relative to one another for supporting the upholstery. A connecting shaft is provided for transmitting the rotation of a first pivot shaft connected to the first rail assembly to a third pivot shaft connected to the second rail assembly. Ends of the connecting shaft are detachably insertable into recesses defined in the first and third pivot shafts, and are securable against rotation.

  • Patent number: 7126806
Abstract: A control arrangement for apparatuses (1) with several functional actuators operated with a low voltage and supplied by a mains-operated transformer (2) provided with a mains activation device. A manually actuated switching unit (3) consolidated into a switching panel (12) and serves to control the actuators and the mains activation device by switching contacts such as pushbuttons. Transmission paths are provided to transmit control commands to the mains activation device and to the actuators. The switching unit (3) is simplified by separate switching contacts (4, 4?) and (5, 5?) and separate transmission paths (4A) and (5A) respectively provided in the switching unit (3) for the main activation device and for the functional actuators respectively, while the control circuits of the mains activation device and of the functional actuators are permanently separated from one another.

  • Patent number: 6961971
Abstract: Motor adjustable support device for the upholstery of a seat and/or of reclining furniture, especially suited for a bed mattress, including a base body having rails, and one adjustable support element adjustable relative to the base body. An adjusting device for the adjustment of the support device relative to the base body may be provided. One of the rails may be hollow or open on one side for receiving part of the adjusting device. The one adjustable element can be adjusted between a first adjustment position and a second adjustment position and that interacts with the support element, and that is received in the first adjustment position in a rail, or as viewed in a side view, for example, within the bounds of the rail, and that protrudes in the second adjustment position over the rail toward the support side.

  • Patent number: 6763536
Abstract: Support device can be adjusted by use of a motor and is used for the upholstery of a piece of furniture for sitting and/or laying upon, such as a mattress of a bed. A base may be provided with at least two relatively adjustable support components. The support device may have at least one drive unit detachably connected to the base and provided with a housing having a recess. A rotatably mounted shaft engages with the recess when the drive unit is assembled. The shaft engages with a support component to be adjusted and can be rotated by the drive unit. The drive unit is placed on the shaft from the support side so that the housing of the drive unit is arranged between the support components and the shaft. Thus, the support device has a lower profile than conventional support devices.

  • Patent number: 6754922
Abstract: Motor-driven, adjustable supporting device for the upholstery of seating and/or reclining furniture, e.g. a mattress or a bed, has a first supporting part and at least a second supporting part for the support of a mattress over its surface. The first supporting part and the second supporting part are jointedly connected to one another and are pivotable relative to one another by a drive. The drive may have at least one electromotive drive which is disposed on the first supporting part in such a way that an output element of the drive is disposed between an upper limiting plane and a lower limiting plane of the first supporting part.
