Abstract: Systems and methods for using machine learning to assess text legibility in an electronic document are disclosed. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may train a machine learning model using training data that includes at least a representation of a text legibility level in the training data. Additionally, the electronic device may input the electronic document into the machine learning model, which may analyze the electronic document and output a representation of the text legibility level of a set of textual content included in the electronic document. The electronic device may display the output for review and assessment by a user, who may use the electronic device to facilitate any modifications to the electronic document.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing graphic design using metadata relationships are described. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may display a visual design including a set of design elements, each of which may be contained within a corresponding container. The electronic device may receive a selection to spatially adjust a design element, and may determine a modification to the design element based an element behavior of the design element and/or a container behavior of the corresponding container. The electronic device may display, in the user interface, the design element reflecting the modification.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting crop marks depicted in digital images are disclosed. According to certain aspects, an electronic device detects a set of crop marks in a reference digital image and aligns the reference digital image with an input digital image. Based on locations of the detected crop marks as aligned to the input digital image, the electronic device detects a set of partial crop marks in the input digital image. As a result, the partial crop marks in the input digital image may be removed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for rendering a product design associated with a foldable or other type of product are disclosed. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may display a foldable product within a product preview area, where the electronic device may animate the foldable product going from a folded state to an unfolded state, and vice-versa. In animating the foldable product, the electronic device may adjust the product within the product preview area and adjust a viewpoint so that the product is accurately and effectively reflected within the product preview area for a user to make an informed decision on whether to purchase the product.

Abstract: Systems and methods for rendering portions of editable product designs are disclosed. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may support a design application that may apply a rendering algorithm to an editable product design, resulting in the application rendering the editable product design for viewing by a user in a first and a second portion of a user interface. In particular, the rendering algorithm may determine whether or not to adjust the editable product design from a first configuration and first orientation to a second configuration and/or a second orientation based on a selection from the user of a portion of the editable product design within the first portion of the user interface. Based on that determination, the application may render the editable product design in the second portion of the user interface in at least one of the second configuration and/or the second orientation.

Abstract: Systems and methods for rendering items with a user interface of an electronic device are described. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may detect its orientation and render, in a user interface, a physical item using a rendering effect determined from the orientation. As a user of the electronic device reorients the electronic device, the electronic device may automatically and dynamically update the rendering with an updated rendering effect to reflect the updated orientation. In embodiments, the user may use the electronic device to complete an order for the physical item.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically determining and displaying salient portions of images are disclosed. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may support a design application that may apply a saliency detection learning model to a digital image, resulting in the application generating one or more salient portions of the digital image. The electronic device may generate a digital rendering of the salient portion of the image on digital models of items or products, and may enable a user to review the digital rendering. The user may also choose alternative salient portions of the digital image and/or aspect ratios for those salient portions for inclusion on a digital model of the item or product.
