  • Patent number: 10969803
Abstract: A mechanical activation system including a first mechanical device mechanically connectable to and controllable by an external device, with a rotational orientation of the first mechanical device controllable by the external device, the rotational orientation representative of a parameter of the external device. The first mechanical device and second mechanical device having interacting surfaces for controlling a valve for preventing the parameter of the external device from reaching a critical value. An operator actuation device interacts with a surface of the first mechanical device, permitting a single operator input that is automatically resettable by the system.

  • Patent number: 10508742
Abstract: A cage assembly for a valve includes a hollow first member having a first end for operably connecting to a valve body and an opposed second end for receiving a hollow second member. The assembly includes the second member having a third end for receiving a hollow third member, the second member including first openings formed through a sidewall, and the third member having a fourth end for operably connecting to the valve body. The assembly includes when assembled inside the valve body, the first member, the second member and the third member forming an aligned second opening therethrough, the second opening having a uniform cross section, for slidably receiving a valve closure element for controlling a flow of fluid through the first openings during operation of the valve.

  • Patent number: 10253887
Abstract: A stem assembly for a valve including a shaft having a longitudinal axis and a first end having a cross section less than a cross section of the shaft, and a protrusion near the first end extending away from the axis. In response to the first end and the protrusion being positionable inside a compartment of a valve plug having an opening in fluid communication with a fluid of a valve during operation of the valve, the first end and the protrusion being movable between a first position and a second position relative to the valve plug. In the first position, the first end blocking the opening for preventing fluid flow therethrough, and in the second position, the first end being movable away from the compartment opening for permitting fluid flow through the opening.

  • Publication number: 20070215833
Abstract: A valve for controlling the flow of cryogenic fluid. The valve includes a valve body and a sealing member pivotably mounted within the valve body. The valve also includes an actuator mechanism that pivots the sealing member from a closed position to an open position to allow flow of fluid through the valve body. The sealing member provides a seal against a portion of said valve body to substantially prevent flow of fluid through the valve in the closed position. A linkage connects the sealing member and the actuator mechanism. The linkage is capable of translating the direction of a force from the actuator mechanism to a direction suitable for pivoting the sealing member toward either the open position or the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20070145321
Abstract: An apparatus and method for a diaphragm valve includes a valve body having a chamber in fluid communication with a first channel and a second channel. A diaphragm is disposed in the chamber, and a tapered seat member is at least partially disposed in the first channel. A sleeve is compressively disposed in the seat member between the seat member and the first channel to maintain a fluid tight seal between the seat member and the first channel. A valve member is movable to controllably urge the diaphragm into and out of engagement with the seat member to control flow of fluid between the first the first and second channel.
