  • Patent number: 6398132
Abstract: A portable spray misting device including an internally hollowed body capable of holding a volume of fluid to be dispensed. The body includes a flattened base capable of supporting the body upon a flat surface and a contoured upper body terminating in an upwardly extending and interiorly open neck which defines a first port having a first diameter. A spray applicating head for issuing a mist spray of the fluid is secured to the open neck by an integrally formed collar. An interiorly open and annular rim extends from a specified location of the contoured upper body and defines a second port with a diameter greater than the first diameter of the first port. A cap is provided for securing in a fluid-tight manner over the annular rim of the second collar and so as to provide a device which permits a user to more quickly refill a fluid reservoir within the body interior and to facilitate reception of larger sized ice cubes and the like.

  • Patent number: 6044202
Abstract: A deodorizing device for diffusing and dispersing a volume of a desired fragrant compound intermixed with a body constructed of a plasticized resinous material. The fragrant compound forms a front enclosure of the body which is both structural and/or decorative in nature. A plurality of individual and heat generating resistors are connected in series and formed integrally with a rear enclosure of the device. A pair of alternating current (AC) attachment blades extend from the rear of the device and are operably engaged with the resistors via a thermistor to achieve a desired level of diffusion of the fragrant compounds. The construction of the body and fragrant compound is such that the compound is diffused at a decreasing rate until expended. The fragrant compound is in the preferred embodiment a releasably and replaceably securable resinous element which is impregnated with the fragrant compound.

  • Patent number: 5965067
Abstract: A portable fan device for use with a spray misting bottle which is capable of being mounted atop a spray applicating head portion of the misting bottle so that a fan blade unit of the fan device is positioned forwardly and in communication with an atomized spray nozzle of the spray head and cools and atomizes the mist spray issued by the nozzle. Releasable securing means such as an attachment bracket or contoured gripping tabs extending from the fan underside are employed for securing the fan body in a generally horizontal fashion atop the spray head. A stand member is held within a recessed cavity in the fan underside and can be rotated downwardly to support the fan device in an upright position for use as a portable fan once the fan body has been detached from atop the spray head. In a further embodiment, a gripping tab which forms part of the releasable securing means can provide the dual function of gripping part of the spray head and supporting the fan body in an upright position.

  • Patent number: 5843344
Abstract: A combination portable fan and spray misting device for creating a cooling atomized mist spray. The fan includes an elongated body portion and a fan blade head portion which is attached in an upwardly and angled fashion relative to the body portion and which further includes a rotatable fan blade unit. The spray misting device furter includes a body containing a volume of a liquid and a spray applicator secured atop said body and capable of issuing an atomized fluid mist spray of the liquid in a direction from the rear of and both above and through the rotating fan blade unit to further cool, atomize and distribute the spray in a desired application.

  • Patent number: 5620633
Abstract: A portable misting device and fan for use by sunbathers and those engaged in athletic pursuits. The fan encloses a fan blade unit and the misting device includes a body which contains a volume of a liquid and which is mounted to a rear of the fan by a mounting bracket. A spray applicator extends from the body and is in a direction above and toward a front of said fan blade unit. The spray applicator is actuable to withdraw fluid from within the misting device body and to supply it as an atomized spray in front of the fan blade unit. The fan blade unit cools and distributes the spray in a direction chosen by the user.

  • Patent number: 5392695
Abstract: An improved breadmaking machine for adjusting at least one operating parameter of the machine in response to the atmospheric pressure and atmospheric temperature existing outside the machine. Signals representative of the atmospheric pressure and atmospheric temperature are inputted to the breadmaker by a sensor, potentiometer, switch block assembly, or by manual entering means. The signals are read by a controller which initiates a program to determine at least one correction value for adjusting the operating parameters of the machine in response to the pressure and temperature inputs. The controller is connected to the parameters, such as a heater element, kneading motor and blower motor and adjusts the operation of the parameters according to the calculated values of the program.
