Abstract: The present invention provides adjuvant chemical compositions that increase the effectiveness of a wide array of agricultural chemicals. Specifically, the present adjuvant compositions may increase the effectiveness of the normal, accepted amounts of an agricultural chemical per acre. Alternatively, the present adjuvant compositions may obtain similar results upon application of a decreased amount an agricultural chemical per acre. Compositions are also provided that comprise, in addition to the adjuvant compositions, at least one agricultural chemical. The present invention further provides methods of preparation and use thereof.

Abstract: Quaternary ammonium salts, and compositions including these salts, are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for protecting plants and crops from microbial and other pests by administering the quaternary ammonium salts, or compositions including the salts, to a plant in need of such treatment. The main component of the quaternary ammonium salts is alkyltrimethylammonium chloride or dimethyldialkylammonium chloride, where alkyl is derived from soya, coconut, cottonseed, tallow, or hogfat fatty acids or the individual ammonium salts isolated therefrom.
Abstract: The invention relates to a compositions useful in the field of agricultural chemistry and methods for making and using the compositions. The compositions include (i) a permeabilizing agent, and (ii) a active component, for example, a pesticide or plant growth regulator, and can include additional components as well, for example, flow agents. The permeabilizing agent, or a mixture of permeabilizing agents, acts as an adjuvant to the active component or chemicals to improve the degree of efficacy of the active component or speed of action of the active component. The permeabilizing agents are typically one or more chelating agents, cationic materials, anionic materials, and zwitterionic materials, and include polyphosphate salts. Examples of cationic materials include polyamines such as ethylenediamine and quaternary ammonium salts. The active components can be pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, virucides, bacteriocides, and acaricides.
