  • Patent number: 7913373
Abstract: In a method and a device for non-rotatably connecting a hollow shaft with at least one component located on the hollow shaft with which the component is positioned with clearance on the hollow shaft and is fastened thereon in a certain position by eliminating the clearance, the clearance being eliminated by expanding the hollow shaft using a joining tool that passes through at least part of the hollow shaft, and the joining tool including at least one first shaping element and at least one further shaping element, and the shaping elements being movable relative to each other, so that the motion of the shaping elements relative to each other causes an at least partial expansion of the hollow shaft. A design of this type has the advantage, in particular, that the joining tools cause the hollow shaft to expand only at the necessary points.

  • Patent number: 7805829
Abstract: The apparatus for fixing rivets (4) in structural parts (11) includes a positioning adapter (3) for fixing one end of a rivet in a structural component with the rivet (4) in a riveting position; a riveting adapter (5) for deforming another end of the rivet, which has a movable deforming device (34) for deforming the rivet by impact energy stored in it; and a device for changing or adjusting the impact energy (33) stored in the movable deforming device. A greater flexibility for adjustment of the required impact energy (33) to different boundary conditions is thus possible, which guarantees that a minimal number of working strokes or only a single working stroke is required to fasten a rivet (4) in a structural component (11). This reduces the mechanical stress on the riveting adapter (5) and the working robot (6) guiding it besides reducing the noise level.

  • Patent number: 7324217
Abstract: A method is disclosed for measuring components (1) using a measurement system (20) guided by a manipulator (10). In this process, reference features (9, 9a, . . . , 9i) are decentrally located at various positions near a component (1) to be measured, the reference features each being assigned to at least one measuring object (6) located at a close distance to the particular reference feature (9, 9a, . . . , 9i) on the component (1) to be measured. Before a test object (6) is measured, the measuring system (20) is first brought into a calibration position using the manipulator (10), and the reference feature (9, 9a, . . . , 9i) assigned to the particular test object (6) is measured using the measuring system (20) to calibrate a coordinate system of the manipulator (10). Using the manipulator (10), the measuring system (20) is then moved into a measurement position, where the relevant test object (6) is measured. A corresponding device for measuring components and a component carrier (7) are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7199881
Abstract: An arrangement for measuring components has a manipulator, at least one measuring system in operative connection with the manipulator, the at least one measuring system including at least one contour measuring device associated with the manipulator and generating an optical sensing surface sweeping a measuring region, an at least one measuring object arranged in the measuring region and at least one reference feature associated with the measuring object; and a method of measurements is performed with the arrangement.

  • Patent number: 7188431
Abstract: For determining a depth of drilling in objects a path over which a resistance is measured which is produced by an object to be processed counteracts a processing tool during its advance movement, and the measured path is used for determination of a depth of drilling in the object.

  • Patent number: 7043334
Abstract: For operating a positioning device of a multi-axes processing device having at least one processing for improving its positioning accuracy, a position change of the processing device and the associated processing head is controlled with a computer, work poses of the processing device and the associated processing head controlled by a computation and control unit of the processing device are detected, and the work poses are adjusted if necessary.
