  • Patent number: 5868318
Abstract: A water jet regulating cap for a water delivery nozzle, for e.g., lawn sprinklers with an oscillating arm, comprises two parts of differing plastic materials tightly fixed together. A first part, formed of a rigid plastic material, has a sleeve-like shape and is attachable to the nozzle in such a way as to be held in an axial direction and revolvable around the axis of the nozzle between two end angular positions. A second part, formed of a soft plastic material, has a cup-like shape with a base through which extends an off-center hole which is selectively alignable with a corresponding off-center hole of the nozzle according to the angular position of the cap with respect to the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5749524
Abstract: A side driving element for an irrigation device with an oscillating arm comprises a casing. Inside the casing there is rotatably housed a turbine rotor having an axis of rotation parallel to that of the oscillating arm of the irrigation device. The rotor powers the oscillating arm. An external mouth connects to a supply conduit of an irrigation liquid. The mouth has an axis lying in a plane orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the rotor, and communicates with an internal rectilinear conduit aligned with the mouth and directed toward the rotor, so that a jet of irrigation liquid supplied by said supply conduit is not subjected to deviations before reaching the rotor.

  • Patent number: 5735462
Abstract: An irrigation device has an arm which is rotatably fastened at its ends to a pair of side elements of the irrigation device, and from one of which elements there extends a driving shaft. The device comprises a cam substantially in the shape of a heart integral with the shaft, a connecting rod coupled to the cam by the of a pair of shoes that engage the perimeter of the cam in substantially diametrically opposite positions. The connecting rod is provided with a slot wherein a guide for the connecting rod is engaged integral with the cam, and a crank integral with arm. The connecting rod can be hinged to the crank in a plurality of positions substantially aligned along a radial direction lying in a plane orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the arm and placed at different distances from the axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 5707030
Abstract: The trolley comprises a pair of sides in a plastic material provided with a through hole for inserting and separably snap-locking a support shaft for a pair of wheels and upper housings for inserting and separably snap-locking respective ends of a tubular metal element, bent into a U shape, which forms a handle for manoeuvring the trolley. The tubular element is mechanically restrained at a variable height to an attachment ring for a collection bag. The trolley also comprises a tray in a plastic material designed to act as a base for supporting the trolley on the ground and as an element for supporting the base of the bag. The tray is fitted with projections which can be inserted and separably snap-locked in lower housings of the sides of the trolley and means for its separable snap-hooking to the shape for supporting the wheels.

  • Patent number: 5655747
Abstract: A solenoid valve for an irrigation control unit comprises a cut-off element movable inside a respective seat between a closed position and an open position. The cut-off element defines inside the seat a chamber in constant communication with the inlet of the solenoid valve, so that the pressure exerted on the cut-off element by the water present at the inlet of the solenoid valve is balanced by the pressure exerted on the cut-off element by the water present in the chamber. The cut-off element is provided with a passing conduit that can be opened so that the chamber can be put in communication with the outlet of the solenoid valve. Since the pressure exerted on the cut-off element by the water present at the inlet of the solenoid valve is no longer balanced by the pressure exerted on the cut-off element by the water present in the chamber, the cut-off element is displaced by the thrust of the water present at the inlet of the solenoid valve in said open position.

  • Patent number: 5615837
Abstract: The nozzle comprises a grip casing with an approximately rectilinear shape inside which, in a longitudinal direction, there is a rigid pipe for water passage formed by an upstream section and a downstream section separated by an internal cavity of the nozzle casing and a push-button movably inserted in said cavity to allow and, alternatively, to cut off the flow of water along the abovementioned pipe. The push-button is substantially in the shape of a half-disc with an internal passage extending from one side to the other of the same and is rotatably inserted in the cavity so that it can be rotated round an axis perpendicular to the direction of the passage of the water between an open position and a closed position.

  • Patent number: 5562247
Abstract: An irrigator comprises an oscillating arm (1) formed by a hollow cylinder provided with a longitudinal succession of holes (8) suitable for passage of an irrigation liquid. An operation unit (6) oscillates the arm about its own axis. A cylindrical sleeve (9) is inserted coaxially and rotatably in the oscillating arm, and has thereon at least one surface groove (11) for channeling the irrigation liquid whereby the irrigation liquid is emitted through the holes in the arm aligned with the surface groove. The sleeve has a terminal section (13) and a remaining section (12), and the groove (11) has a terminal groove section in the terminal section of the sleeve and a remaining groove section in the remaining section of the sleeve. The terminal section (13) of the sleeve is rotatable with respect to the remaining section (12) of the sleeve, to allow the terminal groove section to be staggered with respect to the remaining groove section for controlling the flow of irrigation liquid from the oscillating arm.
