Abstract: The present invention relates to a method designed to control the flow rate of a fluid, generally a liquid, from a pressurized self-contained container (4). It is characterized in that a head loss is installed on the pressurized container, the head loss being constituted by a channel (14) of great length and small section obtained by using controlled clearance between two surfaces in contact so as to achieve laminar head loss. The method is applicable to commercially-available aerosol cans. In one embodiment, the channel (14) is connected to a dip tube (25) and to a diffuser (8).
