Abstract: A process and composition for forming a non-Newtonian oil composition in the form of a grease comprising an overbased calcium salicylate and solid particles of colloidally dispersed calcium carbonate in the form of calcite is disclosed wherein the process comprises the steps of heating overbased calcium salicylate, amorphous calcium carbonate, and a converting agent comprising a fatty acid of twelve to twenty-four carbon atoms in an oleaginous medium, and then adding sufficient water, alcohol, and carbon dioxide to the mixture to complete the conversion of the amorphous calcium carbonate to calcite.
Abstract: An equipment for precalcining any mineral materials whatsoever comprising a precalciner consisting of a combustion chamber communicating through a passage-way with a reaction chamber itself communicating via a duct with a separation cyclone, the reaction chamber being fed with smokes issuing from a firing furnace and three ducts feeding with hot air issuing from a cooler the combustion chamber, a voluted casing at the level of a burner and said duct, respectively, the equipment in particular permitting the manufacture of cement clinker while greatly minimizing the emission of nitrogen oxides.

Abstract: A method of crushing brittle materials for obtaining a product of great fineness, wherein the raw material is fed to a roll mill providing a product containing agglomerates and carried into a disaggregator-separator, the fine particles being discharged and the coarse particles being recycled, the disaggregation rate being limited in the disaggregator and the invention being applicable to cement clinker and to various mineral substances.
Abstract: A system comprising a roll press for crushing and partially agglomerating a mineral material, a conveyor means arranged downstream of this press and associated with a distributor device and allowing to recycle one portion of the crushed and partially agglomerated material to the inlet of the press whereas the other portion of the material issuing from this distributor device feeds a second distributor device one outlet of which communicates with the conveyor means to thereby control the amount and density of the crushed and partially agglomerated material recycled to the feed of the press.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for transforming a rotary kiln equipped with a planetary cooler and intended in particular for the manufacture of cement, a kiln obtained by this method and a burning line equipped with this kiln, the kiln being constituted by an inclined rotary tube through which the material flows and which is heated inwardly, this tube comprising a downstream section constituting a burning zone having a smaller diameter than that of the upstream section constituting a material preparation zone, both sections being connected by a conical part, and the downstream section having a diameter comprised between 4 and 5,1 meters and a length comprised between 20 and 50 meters.
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and an apparatus for heat treatment of a powder material comprising a device for post-combustion of the combustible constituent remaining in the powder material which contains, or is mixed with, a constituent apt to cause an exothermic reaction either with a gas or with another constituent, proceeding from a precalciner ensuring a primary combustion of the said constituent, so as to achieve the complete combustion of the said constituent.
