Patents Assigned to CLEAN CURRENT POWER SYSTEMS INCORPORATED
  • Patent number: 8754562
Abstract: An electrical coil assembly for use in a flooded electrical machine operating in an electrically conductive and/or chemically aggressive medium, and a method for manufacturing an electrical coil assembly, are disclosed. The electrical coil assembly incorporates an electrical cable coil winding and a magnetic core. The electrical coil winding is wound of electrical cable with dielectric insulation that is also a waterproof molecular barrier and is covered with at least one layer of waterproof adhesive material. The magnetic core is substantially surrounded with a dielectric insulation layer, which is covered with at least one layer of waterproof adhesive material. The combination of dielectric insulation and waterproof adhesive layers provide protection against the ingress of water and accordingly reduce risk of electrical fault and failure of the electrical coil assembly in submerged service.

  • Publication number: 20100285702
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for a hybrid electric power system for use in a multi-wheeled hybrid electric vehicle, and particularly for use in hybrid electric vehicles designed for operation in hostile environments where reliability and survivability of the propulsion system of the vehicle are important. The hybrid electric power system advantageously comprises at least one segmented electrical machine having multiple pairs of parallel stator segments with a magnetic rotor segment between each pair, for generating power from a thermodynamic engine, or for providing power to a driven wheel of the hybrid electric vehicle. A hybrid electric power system is also provided which comprises at least one distributed segmented electrical machine which comprises a distributed electrical energy storage system.

  • Publication number: 20070284884
Abstract: A flow enhancement improvement for an underwater turbine generator (10) is disclosed wherein a longitudinal hole (240) is disposed in the central area (26), typically a hub (20) of the generator (10), and a second, augmentor duct (41), preferably rigid, is disposed about the outer duct (40) or housing of the unit to create a slot (200) area The slot (200) and hollow hub (20) create areas of smooth, laminar fluid flow. The leading edges of the hub (20) or central ring and the augmentor (41) and outer ducts (40) are elliptical to enhance the fluid dynamics of the structure.
