Abstract: Sanitizing compositions and methods for making and using these compositions are disclosed. In particular, the compositions comprise a fast acting antimicrobial agent and a persistent microbial agent with alcohol and beeswax among the active ingredients. The ethanol content may vary between about 62 vol.-% and 75 vol.-%. The beeswax content may vary between about 0.01 vol.-% and 3 vol.-%. Log reduction in E. coli bacteria>5 was measured at 1 minute, 8 hours and 24 hours.
