Abstract: Various embodiments of collapsible containers having folding assemblies are described where the containers comprise a body having front, back, left, right, and bottom sidewalls. A top side or lid may also be included and could be removably opened using a zipper or other fastener. At least two sidewalls comprise a folding assembly having a flexible material preferably disposed adjacent to first and second rigid boards. The folding assembly provides structural support when in a first configuration and aids in collapsing the container when in a second configuration. The container is designed to transition from an expanded form to a collapsed form when force is applied to the flexible material.

Abstract: A shelf system may include a first shelf module having attachment features for connecting the first shelf module to a second shelf module, such that the first shelf module can support the second shelf module in a hanging configuration, or the second shelf module can support the first shelf module in a freestanding configuration. The shelf modules may include a plurality of panels that may be foldable or capable of assembly into a form having a container space inside and a lid portion positionable to selectively cover or reveal the container space. Multiple shelf modules may be connected or stacked to customize the number of storage spaces for various items.

Abstract: A collapsible laundry hamper is presented herein featuring a body defining an interior space with one or more compartments, including a rigid bamboo unibody frame with rounded corners and an inwardly extending lip at the top portion, to which a polyester canvas fabric is attached to form sidewalls. Vertical support is typically provided via fiberglass rods, each comprising interconnected segments linked by an internal elastic cord, inserted into fabric sleeves sewn into the fabric body. Upon rod removal, the hamper folds flat for compact storage or shipping.

Abstract: The invention is a collapsible container that transitions between an open configuration for use and a closed configuration for compact storage. It features strategically placed fold lines on its surfaces, which may form one or more triangular-shaped regions that facilitate an inward folding of the material forming the surface. These fold lines guide the material to fold in a specific manner when the container is collapsed thus ensuring the materials of the surface are disposed within the interior of the container when it is collapsed.

Abstract: A shelving system has a plurality of support posts and one or more shelf assemblies, each shelf assembly having a height adjustment mechanism. A height adjustment mechanism can include a bracket attached to a shelf portion, wherein the bracket includes a channel for receiving a support post, and a latch element pivotably attached to the bracket. The latch element pivots between a first position in which the latch element engages an aperture in the support post to support the shelf assembly on the support post, and a second position in which the latch element is out of the aperture to allow the shelf assembly to move along the support post. The latch element can include a hook with a notch positionable to receive an edge of the aperture, and a side face positionable to rest or press against the support post.

Abstract: Various embodiments of collapsible canopies for chairs and other objects are described, which have a sheet of material coupled to a frame that when expanded creates the canopy. The frame preferably comprises first and second support pieces that can be coupled together at opposite ends. Each of the support pieces can comprises two or more struts that are hingedly coupled in series, such that the at least two struts can pivot or move about a hinge from (i) a collapsed configuration where one of the struts is stacked on top of the other strut to (ii) an expanded configuration where the at least two struts extend in opposite directions from the hinge.

Abstract: The present invention provides, in at least one embodiment, a basket such as a grocery basket or laundry basket, where the basket includes a packaging wrap strap. When the basket is in an open position, the wrap strap is flush to the bottom side of the base of the basket such that it is out of the way. When the basket is in a closed position, the wrap strap, made from elastic, stretches to get around the base of the basket and pulls the base upwards while applying downward force on a rim of the basket to keep the basket closed very flat. The wrap strap advantageously does not interfere with the closing and opening functions, improves storage and carrying, and provides better packaging.
