Abstract: The disclosure provides a system and method for attaching audio clips to text messages to allow the conveyance of emotion through sound. The audio clips can include vocals, instruments, and/or a combination of both. The audio clips can be manually or automatically selected for sending via a text message. In one example, a method of sending text messages disclosed herein includes: (1) selecting an audio clip that corresponds to text of a text message from a user, (2) connecting the audio clip with the text message, and (3) delivering the text message to a recipient.
