Patent number: 8851067Abstract: A solar panel comprises a conduit which in the usual way is designed to comprise a heat carrying medium for heat transfer between the solar panel and the surrounding environment. The conduit is placed so that it can be heated by the rays from the sun. The solar panel comprises a chemical heat pump of the type hermetically sealed unity tube with a reactor part, an evaporator/condenser part and a passage there between. The part of the unity tube comprising the reactor part of the chemical heat pump is positioned in heat conducting contact with the first conduit and thereby the part of the unity tube with the reactor part will be heated. The unity tube may be surrounded by a heat insulating part of vacuum jug type comprising an evacuated space between an outer wall and an inner wall. The inner wall may at its outwards facing surface comprise a radiation receiving part adapted to transform solar radiation to heat and which is in heat conducting contact with the first area and the first conduit.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 2010Date of Patent: October 7, 2014Assignee: Climatewell ABInventor: Goran Bolin

Patent number: 8839642Abstract: A chemical heat pump includes a reactor part (1) that contains an active substance and an evaporator/condenser part (3) that contains that portion of volatile liquid that exists in a condensed state and can be absorbed by the active substance. A channel (4) interconnects the reactor part and the evaporator/condenser part. To heat the reactor part, a portion of this wall is arranged as a solar energy collector, which can result in a very compact structure. In at least the reactor part a matrix (13) is provided for the active substance so that the active substance both in its solid state and its liquid state or its solution phase is held or carried by or bonded to the matrix. The matrix is advantageously an inert material such as aluminium oxide and has pores, which are permeable for the volatile liquid and in which the active substance is located. In particular, a material can be used that has a surface or surfaces, at which the active substance can be bonded in its liquid state thereof.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2008Date of Patent: September 23, 2014Assignee: Climatewell ABInventors: Goran Bolin, Ray Olsson

Publication number: 20110000245Abstract: In a chemical heat pump using a hybrid substance (2) and a volatile liquid, layers (3) of a matrix material are provided for binding or containing the substance and/or the condensed volatile liquid. These matrix layers are placed sot that transport of heat to or from an external medium at at least the free surfaces of the matrix layers is obtained and preferably also at their opposite surfaces. Therefor, pipe conduits (9) are provided, in which the external medium flows and which are placed at the surfaces of the matrix layers, such as both beneath supporting plates (4) and directly on top of the matrix layers. By using pipe conduits at the free surfaces of the matrix layers, i.e. the surfaces which are not located at the supporting plates, it is achieved that the free surfaces of the matrix layers still are permeable to the vapour of the volatile liquid in both the evaporation stage and the condensing stage.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2009Publication date: January 6, 2011Applicant: Climatewell AB (Publ)Inventor: Goran Bolin
