Abstract: Various embodiments for creating media clips are disclosed. In one example, a method is performed by a server for managing the creation and distribution of media clips, where the server associates a content capture device with an event, the content capture device for recording at least a portion of the event, receives a tag notification from a content tagging device via a network interface, generates a media clip creation command to the content capture device via the network interface, sends the media clip creation command to the content capture device, and receives a media clip created by the content capture device in response to receiving the media clip creation command.
Abstract: Various embodiments for creating media clips are disclosed. Media clips are created by content capture and tagging devices as events are recorded by the content capture and tagging devices. Users select one or more predefined activity indictors displayed on their content capture and tagging devices as activities occur during events, or as recordings are viewed after events have concluded. Media clips are then created based on the recordings and the activity type associated with each activity indicator. The media clips are then provided to a server, where they are stored in association with activity identification information, such as an activity type based on the selected activity indicator. The media clips may then be searched and accessed by providing key words to the server.
Abstract: Various embodiments for creating media clips are disclosed. Media clips are created by a server in response to receiving primary media recordings from one or more content capture devices or content capture and tagging devices, and one or more instances of activity identification information from content tagging devices. The server creates media clips from by copying portions of the primary media recordings in accordance with the activity identification information, such as a time that a user selected an activity indicator displayed on a respective content tagging device. The media clips are then stored in association with at least users who provided the activity identification information to the server.
