  • Publication number: 20130284513
Abstract: A cable management system includes a cover adapted to attach to a wall. The cover has a first end and a second end. The first end of the cover has receptacles for electrical power and audio/video signals. A combination of the electrical cord and AV cables may extend from the second end of cover. The electrical cord extending from the second end has an electrical plug to couple to an electrical outlet; and the AV cables extending from the second end of the cover has signal plugs adapted to couple to their respective AV components such as a cable box, DVD player, and the like. The electrical cord and the AV cables may be substantially flat to minimize the overall height of the cover.

  • Patent number: 7780131
Abstract: A motorized mounting system includes a plurality of actuators that extend the distal ends of the plurality of actuators in a substantially horizontal manner. The distal ends of the plurality of actuators are adapted to couple to the backside of the monitor. The distal ends of the plurality of actuators define a plane such that extending or retracting at least one of the distal ends adjust the orientation of the plane relative to the reference plane, thereby adjusting the viewing angle of the monitor. The motorized mounting system can be controlled with a remote control.

  • Patent number: 7663478
Abstract: A mount system for a monitor extends and retracts the monitor. The mount system includes a first arm pivotably coupled to a second arm so that that the monitor extends and retracts in a substantially straight line. One or more motors may be incorporated into the mount system to adjust the viewing angle of the monitor through a remote control.

  • Patent number: 7490804
Abstract: A mount system attaches a monitor to a support base such as a table or wall and is able to reposition the monitor through one or more motorized action. In particular, the mount system includes a motor to tilt the monitor. The mount system includes a mount plate that is adapted to attach to the back side of the monitor. The mount plate may be pivotably coupled to a housing at a first pivot point or axis so that the mount plate may pivot along the first pivot point relative to the housing. A shaft is provided between the mount plate and the housing. The shaft has a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end is pivotably coupled to the mount plate and the proximal end is coupled to a motor, and as the motor is activated, the distal end extends or retracts relative to the housing such that the mount plate extends or retracts relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 7296774
Abstract: This invention provides a support arm to couple a monitor to a surface such as a wall or ceiling to remotely adjust the viewing angle of the monitor. The support arm includes at least one motor along a pivot axis in the support arm. The motor may be activated by a processor based on the control signal provided by the remote control. The support arm may include a plurality of pivot axes with a motor in each of the pivot axis to adjust the viewing angle along the vertical and horizontal planes. The support arm may be also provided with a tracking device that follows the movement of the viewer to adjust the viewing angle of the monitor corresponding to the movement of the viewer. The support arm may also receive periodic signal from the remote control to determine the location of the remote control. Based on the periodic signal, the processor may adjust the viewing angle of the monitor towards the location of the remote control.
